We are proud to announce the The Paul Howe Tactical Carbine-the first firearm collaboration between Wilson Combat and renowned author and tactical shooting expert Paul Howe.
The Paul Howe Tactical Carbine combines the unsurpassed build quality and attention to detail of the gunsmiths and designers at Wilson Combat and the 30 years of tactical experience that Retired Sergeant Major Paul Howe has learned as an operator and trainer in selecting his ultimate all-around tactical rifle.
The first thing you will notice is our striking new Camouflage Armor-Tuff finish. This special finish has been developed to blend in well in many urban and rural environments. This exclusive hand-applied pattern reduces IR signature and also keeps the rifle cooler in high temperatures.
The Paul Howe Tactical Carbine uses our peerless, match grade, 5.56 chambered stainless steel 14.7" barrel with deep lightening flutes and a permanently attached Accu-Tac flash hider. This barrel meets the 16" minimum barrel length requirement for legal rifle ownership, yet maintains a handy, optimized size and weight profile without sacrificing any reliability. The carbine also includes our 10.4" T.R.I.M. modular rail.
A Two stage Wilson Combat TTU with heavier springs for a 4.5 pound trigger release-an ideal weight for gloved use in an operational environment is standard. Paul selected a Daniel Defense fixed front sight tower to be used along with his CSAT rear aperture flip up rear for fast, reliable combat sighting.
The Paul Howe Tactical carbine can be ordered only in 5.56 NATO caliber as a basic rifle or as a complete package kitted with Paul's preferred optic, mount and sling.
Paul Howe is a high-risk training instructor that served 20 years in the US Army, ten of those in Special Operations. He served as a Tactical Team Leader in multiple combat operations and Senior firearms Instructor while assigned to a tier-one unit of US Army Special Operations. During his service and since his retirement he has become one of the most sought after experts on close quarters combat and law enforcement/military small arms weapons and tactics in the world. Raddlock Magazine Lock Button AR Upgrade for California Residents
To help our customers maintain compliance with California law we are offering the Raddlock Magazine lock as an upgrade to Wilson Combat Custom AR Rifles sold in that state.
The AR Raddlock Magazine Lock Bullet Button provides a unique two-position operation making it one of the most flexible designs available for use on California legal AR rifles and is precision machined from 6061 aircraft aluminum with hard coat anodizing.
Position 1 acts in the same way as any of the other bullet button locks in that the magazine can only be removed with the use of a tool.
Position 2 allows the AR Raddlock to be activated with a press of the finger, just like a standard magazine release button. Position 2 is perfect for shooting outside of California or when using a .22 rimfire upper. Never use position 2 inside California with a centerfire upper and any banned features installed on your rifle as that would construct a banned assault weapon and is punishable by California law.
This lock kit has NOT been approved by CA DOJ. This magazine lock has been designed to conform to the law as written in CA Penal Code § 12276.1 (a) which defined ""detachable magazine"" as any ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with neither disassembly of the firearm action nor use of a tool being required. Title 11 CCR § 5469 (a) ""A Bullet or Ammunition cartridge is considered a tool.""
Drop in a match grade, duty ready Tactical Trigger Unit (TTU). It's the easiest and fastest upgrade to almost any AR-15 style rifle.
