To commemorate Wilson Combat’s 45th Anniversary of gunsmithing, we are bringing back a classic “retro” style that built the foundation of our business back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Custom 1911 handguns of that period were rapidly evolving based on the needs of practical pistol shooters and Wilson Combat emerged as a leader in 1911 handgun customization by focusing on performing superior quality work at a fair price with a reasonable delivery time-those core values still drive our business today.
The 45th Anniversary 1911 handguns that we are building are very limited in nature and truly exceptional in cosmetics and quality. We have chosen to revert back to some of the classic custom touches we were known for like an upswept, retro grip safety, traditional Bo-Mar style adjustable rear sight with a staked ramp front, a retro Commander style hammer, Swenson-style ambidextrous thumb safety, and a coarsely serrated slide top reminiscent of
the finest bespoke guns available to shooters at the time.This custom 45th Anniversary model will dress out in a fully hand-polished deluxe blue finish with handcrafted, premium desert ironwood grips featuring a smooth finish that shows off its amazing grain and markings and logos will harken back to our early models, albeit with more modern cosmetics.
Timeless style combined with limited production and impeccable quality ensure the Wilson Combat 45th Anniversary edition will be an instant collectible and highly sought after for generations to come.

We are offering two distinct models. The first is a Deluxe version, limited to the first 45 serialized pieces with hand-cut engraving by the acclaimed Wayne D’Angelo in a classic scroll pattern. The Deluxe model will also have hand-fitted Bar-Sto National Match barrels like most of our early guns. After engraving, the slides will be finished in hand-polished, deluxe bluing, while the frames and small parts will be finished in a
protective and attractive matte silver hard chrome. This classic, two-tone finish combination was popular on our best available guns in the early days of “combat shooting” and many early Wilson Combat pistols were finished in this fashion.The special grips for both models are handcrafted, premium desert ironwood with a smooth finish that shows off its amazing grain.

40th Anniversary CQB Elite
In celebration of forty years of building the world’s finest custom handguns, we have issued a limited run of a special commemorative CQB Elite model for 2017. This all-steel model uses the latest Wilson Combat parts and innovations like our in-house produced forged slides, frames, and barrels. These all-steel pistols are designed as carry guns and also feature our one-piece machined magwell, ambidextrous safety and slide top and rear serrations. The flush cut, reverse crowned barrel is deeply fluted and mates with a specially engraved, recessed reverse plug. Black Armor-Tuff is the standard finish.
The special grips on this model are handcrafted, premium desert ironwood with solid sterling silver medallions. The quality of this rare wood and its fit and finish are exceptional.

Appointed with never before available features, the Fortieth Anniversary Supergrade 1911 in .45 ACP is the centerpiece of the collection. Praised for their exceptional quality and sought for their scarcity, the Supergrade represents our finest work and commitment to our rich history in the refinement of the 1911. This very special Supergrade is adorned with Mammoth Ivory Grips by Dan Chinnock, a silver bead front sight and has been given a high polished Baron blue finish with silver inlays. The word "Supergrade" is inlaid on the right side of the slide, the Wilson Combat logo inlaid behind the right rear cocking serrations, with “40 Years of Tradition" inlaid on the left side.
The fortieth anniversary EDC X9 is representative of the innovative spirit of Wilson Combat. Our latest and most ambitious project to date, the EDC X9 meets the needs of modern shooting applications while maintaining the history and refinement of the classic 1911. This exclusive EDC X9 is the paragon of innovation with its polished stainless slide, gold bead front sight, and gold inlaid markings on the slide. The words "EDC X9" are inlaid by Baron on the right side of the slide, the Wilson Combat logo inlaid on the top, and “40 Years of Innovation" inlaid on the left.
Included in the set is our Out the Front knife by Hogue, representing our commitment to being on the cutting edge of weapon technology.
