    Works as intended +1 extension

    Tube now holds 4 shells in 3 inch.(no change)5 in 2 3/4 (+1)with supplied follower and spring. Installed on late 80’s 870 Express. Very good construction on this extension and no problems encountered with fit. Stock spring and follower didn’t increase rounds that could be loaded. Supplied parts seemed to work smoother anyway.

    Definitely recommend this upgrade for your shotgun. Both the heavy duty spring and high visibility follower are high quality and much better than the cheaper factory parts. Installation was fast and easy on my Remington Tac-14.

    Follower In Kit Is Too Long

    I purchased the Plus 1 Extension for my 1978 Remington Wingmaster which I've owned since new. It has a 2 3/4" chamber and is a pre-dimple magazine. The supplied follower in the kit is too long not allowing a fifth shell. The follower's length is the same as the extension's depth. You gain nothing!! I reinstalled the Remington factory follower and now it accepts the fifth shell.

    Supplied Follower Makes No Sense

    I installed the Plus 1 Extension with the supplied follower. The follower's overall length is the same as the inside length of the extension tube!! You gain nothing. My 870 is still a 4 shot magazine.

    Not Compatible With All Modern Shotguns

    This item is not compatible with my Savage Stevens 320. I bought this item because I thought it would fit. It only fits with magazine tubes modeled after the Remington 870 and the Mossberg 500. This is really more of a complaint with the Savage Stevens 320. I’m sure this is a good product, but I’ll never know. I’ve asked dozens of people about which parts are compatible with my shotgun. This, evidently, is not one of them. I’m having a lot of trouble finding parts compatible with my shotgun. For anyone else who has a 320, don’t buy this. Anyone with a 500 or 870, I’m sure you’ll be just fine.

    Quality Part

    I installed this plus one extension on a Blue Line 870 clone. It requires two dimples in the mag tube be smoothed or drilled out so the follower can travel past it. I used a drill then a Dremel to smooth the inside of the tube. Don't forget to clean the metal debris from the tube. The extension is heavy duty and has a nice finish. Screws on smooth as silk and the wave washer keeps it tight. I ordered two extra wave washers just in case.

    Great Option

    Very pleased to have the option of the front mounted stud. Here on the farm the side plate hangs on everything in the tractor and truck. Have an older 20 ga model with the side plate and wish I could get one like this. Great quality, service and shipping from Wilsons as usual.

    Easy Removal

    A squirt of Kroil or gun lube at the open end and allowed to run down between the retainer and the tube wall will facilitate an easier removal of the retainer from the shot shell tube.

    Excellent And Simple Great Combo

    First upgrade I have ever installed on a shotgun before and it was very very easy. This went on an H&R Pardner Protector with an 18.5 in barrel it does require a little work the dimples in the tube need to be either ground down or drilled out for the follower to pass through but other than that its a breeze to install and has held up fine and I expect it to continue doing so.
