Awards and Accolades

Field & Stream names the Wilson Combat NULA Model 20 the best deer rifle of 2024! Read the article here.

Wilson Combat's NULA Model 20 came out last year and won our Editor's Pick Award for the best new rifle. At the time, I said it was a damn-near perfect big-game rifle—and it still is. So much so, that as good as the new crop of 2024 rifle is, none of this year's guns is better for deer hunting than last year's top model.

NULA Model 20/20S Is the Rifle of Year for 2024

Guns & Ammo names the Wilson Combat NULA Model 20/20S the rifle of the year for 2024!

After the NULA model 20 being awarded best new bolt action rifle of 2023 by FIELD & STREAM and the editors choice award by ON TARGET magazines it was quite a surprise when the publisher of GUNS & AMMO called to tell me us that the NULA rifle had been chosen for the 2024 bolt action rifle of the year. This is quite an award since the votes came from the editorial staff of editors and writers which are separate from the advertising side of the publication. All of us here at Wilson Combat who have worked so hard on the NULA project are humbled and very appreciative of this prestigious award by one of the oldest and most respected firearm enthusiast magazines.

Just like all the other firearms I’ve tested from Wilson Combat, their new NULA Model 20 is a study in perfection. It performed so well in our annual rifle test that it received the F&S Editor’s Pick award for best overall hunting rifle.

Editor's Choice Award

The rifle has a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee. That’s a bold move, considering that many shooters have a hard time shooting tiny groups at the range with an ultralight rifle. I put the accuracy guarantee to the test with four common hunting loads (versus match loads), and the rifle passed with flying colors.
- Mike Dickerson

I feel so fortunate to know Melvin and to have been entrusted with the opportunity to continue his legacy of building the finest and lightest bolt rifles on the market.
- Bill Wilson

Wilson Combat needs to be commended for producing a high-quality production version of my hand-built rifle.
