Really Nice Part
Installed the flat checkered SS housing in a Colt Competition government. No fitting required at all. The plunger from the Colt wouldn't go into the bore in the housing. I'm pretty sure this was a problem with the Colt part since a spare I had from another gun fit perfectly. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the chamfer at the bottom of the piece is really small, about 1/32" and isn't remotely close to mating with the chamfer on the frame

Great Looking Part But Not Exactly Drop In
This part is not drop in as the description implies, had to file the sides and top of the housing for it to fit in my SW1911, but ones it was fitted it looks really nice. Wilson please do a little better with cleaning the bore in this for the spring, I can hear the spring caps moving up and down in it. I put some grease on to quiet it down until it hopefully wears in.

Slight Fitting Required
For my Kimber Custom II Two Tone this required some filing and polishing to keep the beavertail from pushing on the firing pin safety too far and preventing the slide from going back on. Apart from that this was a great upgrade to the polymer mainspring housing that came with my Kimber and looks great with the rest of the frame

Excellent Upgrade
Fit perfectly in my Kimber; just needed some light filing to allow the grip safety to operate properly. This part greatly improved grip index and also helped balance the pistol better. Very pleased with this upgrade.

Quality Product
MSH required filing to fit in Colt Government 45, once fitted, noticed an improvement that the heal of my hand no longer moved. Great texture without being too much. Will be ordering again.

Wilson Combat. The Ultimate Manufacturer For After Market 1911 Parts.
Recently purchased a new Colt Delta Elite rail gun in 10mm and was dissappointed to find it had a plastic main spring housing. Purchased this part as an alternative from Wilson Combat. It did require me to use my bench grinder on it, very slightly and it fits better in this pistol then Colts original part. The main spring housing is extremely well made and finished of impeccably. Highly recommended.

Needed Quite A Bit Of Finishing Work.
The inside where the spring rides was extremely rough causing a terrible feeling when cocking the hammer. Also, I had to remove quite a bit of material to clear the grip safety on my Springfield loaded which was expected and could be nice if you are looking for a tight clean fit. If I didnt have to work the inside of the spring well and clean up the dings on the texture, It would be 5 stars.

Nice Piece
Bought this for my Springfield A1 mil-spec as well as pin kit and custom tune spring kit to replace my ILS. It took a bit of filing on the msh and grip safety to get them from binding and holding the safety down. But excellent fit and finish to the frame and the checkering gives a nice grip.
