A Little Buffing For Kimber Grand Raptor Ii
My Kimber Grand Raptor II Comes stock, with a plastic POS. Wilson matched perfectly and slid in nicely the first time. Disassemble and take out to the flapper wheel for a little light buffing off the top. Now I have a solid base to pistol whip someone that wont crack out. And looks factory. Thanks Wilson!

Part came quickly and was top quality. Replaced my cracked Kimber plastic MSH. Had to file a bit off the top for a perfect fit against the grip safety. Finish matched my TLE RL II perfectly.

Nice Housing - Minor Fitting Was Required
Very nice mainspring housing to replace Kimber’s plastic housing. I had to do some minor filing on the housing to get it to fit my Raptor II because of contact with the grip safety, but a few seconds of filing yielded a perfect fit and great feel.

High Quality Part, Great Feel
Ive put two of these in my 1911s as replacements, one in a Colt LW Commander, the other in a RIA nickel 1911. Required no fitting in the Colt, and moderate fitting in the RIA. But the feel is perfect, really stabilizes the gun in the hand. For carry, I hand file the checkering at the edges near the tip of the frame to soften it up a bit for comfort against my skin. But in the hand, its perfect! Sticky but not abrasive during long range sessions, very positive feel.

Truly A Drop In Part
I purchased the SS mainspring housing to replace the plastic unit on my new 1911. I was rather scared about having to do some fitting to the housing, but after transferring the guts from my old housing, it was truly a drop in fit.
