Controlled Chaos bullets offer the best of both worlds when it comes to ballistic performance. This bullet is optimal for use in .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO loads.

Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.

There are two philosophies when it comes to bullets. One believes rapid expansion, moderate penetration, and weight loss are best, while the other believes that moderate expansion, deep penetration, and virtually no weight loss are best. Both have their virtues and applications, but why settle for one or the other when you can have both?

Controlled Chaos ® bullets offer the best of both. Once fluid is impacted, they shed the front portion of the bullet into multiple petals that radiate outward away from the bullets initial trajectory path resulting in a massive energy spike. The bore diameter base of the bullet continues and penetrates deeply in a straight line. Both the temporary and permanent wound cavity created by this bullet separation is dramatic resulting in quick incapacitation.  The solid base creates additional tissue damage and often results in full penetration of the animal.

The Controlled Chaos ® bullet doesn’t expand or fragment when it impacts hard barriers like drywall, only when it impacts fluid, where it expands, fractures, and does its devastation.

No other bullet on the market offers the accuracy and repeatable terminal performance of the Controlled Chaos ®.

Controlled Chaos ® bullets are currently available in the following diameters: .204, .224, .243, .257, .264, .277, .284, .308, .311, .355, and .358.

Solid copper Controlled Chaos ® bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead-free projectiles.

    Great coyote bullet

Posted by Ben on Feb 10th 2026

I loaded these in 22 creedmoor goin about 3450fps with 18inch barrel. Extremely accurate, .5 inch grouping all day at 100 yds. I used to be fairly skeptical on copper bullets for coyotes. But these definitely are a great coyote bullet. Bang flop, no spinning and run offs. Definitely glad I bought a box to test out and then started shooting them.

    Groups well

I'm getting .5 - .75 inch groups with 25.2 and 25.8 grains of Varget. 25.8 grains does show slight pressure signs, but nothing crazy. This is out of a 24" Faxon barrel with 1 in 7 twist, loaded to 2.26 col in Norma brass. The machining on the 62 grain CC is absolutely beautiful.

    Stonecold Deer Hammer

Posted by WVRidgeRunner on May 17th 2022

2019 I purchased a Ruger American in .223 I also had a hip replacement that year in June. I am class Q hunter, 100% disabled. That means I get to hunt from my vehicle. Long story short I was sitting in my vehicle on private property, at approximately 0930 a rather large doe walked out in the open field at about 110 yards. I put the cross hairs behind the shoulder, the deer ran about 110 yards. And piled up. I have also purchased the 264 to reload for my .260 Remington I have read some of the reviews for it and I am excited to try those. The 62 grain CC is a great dear round. In that short Ruger. I think it will do well on Coyotes as well.

Accurate with a very high level of terminal performance for a .223/5.56MM on varmints & whitetail alike

Posted by Carey on Mar 31st 2020

I have taken quite a few varmints & several whitetail with the 62GR. CCCu bullet loaded to 5.56MM NATO pressure over the past couple years. The 62GR. CCCu has proven to be a very accurate bullet design in the 10" class carbines I normally use.

    Coyote Nightmare!!

Posted by Scott W. on Nov 20th 2018

These are the most accurate shooting copper bullets period!! I hunt coyotes with thermal at night shooting 22 Nosler chambered AR. These bullets shoot half moa out of a 1 in 8 barrel with 31grs. CFE 223. This combo for me is DRT and very fur friendly !!! No more buying 50 count boxes from the other cooper bullet folksfor me!!

Haven't shot anything but paper, but my first 5 shot group from a Savage Axis II in 223 was .566"
