Loaded with the Hornady 150 grain SST (.300 Savage variant) this load has proven to be an excellent all around hunting load for game up to and including Elk/Kudu. With a combination of good accuracy, adequate penetration and reliable expansion, this load will harvest most north American game cleanly. The relatively high ballistic coefficient of this boat tail bullet results in good retained velocity at longer ranges and a flat 200 yard trajectory. Also excellent for most tactical applications.
Uses: Hunting for Elk size game or tactical use.
