Loaded with the Speer 150 grain boat tail soft point this high ballistic coefficient bullet is super accurate and retains velocity well at longer ranges. With a 175 yard zero you are only 1.8" high at 100 yards and 1.7" low at 200 yards, with enough retained velocity out to 250 yards for reliable bullet expansion. A good "all around" choice for hunting of game up to 300 pounds or self-defense/tactical use.

Uses: Deer/hog hunting or self-defense/tactical use.

    150 gr speer BTSP

    I have shot at least 1000 rds of the WC 150 gr Speer BTSP factory load at hogs. It is reliable and accurate out to 200 yds. I have shot some hogs at 300 with it but terminal performance was not predictible.... I dont know for sure but I suspect the bullet was below its minimum expansion impact velocity. Some were killed but others ran off. Possibly the shots were not placed all that well... hard to tell for sure. But the reality is that this cartridge, good as it is, is not suitable for that distance...regardless of the projectile choice. Both of my rifles are WC factory AR's and I cant ask for more. They are equally accurate and reliable. I run them both supressed and have to clean them regularly....such is life with supressors and AR's.

    A superior load

    This bullet has proven to be near MOA accurate with reloads out to 600 yards. I have not shot the factory loads out so far (this is not hunting) but at 200 yards they are slightly more accurate than my reloads. This is with an 18" barrel. Almost as accurate in the 11.3" barrel. So far I have taken 4 hogs with this factory load. Every shot was a CNS hit so the hogs went down without an argument. The cost of the ammo is very very reasonable and nearly always in stock. So far it is A+ all the way.

    This is the most accurate round I've shot out of my Ham'r. Mine is sighted in for 150 yd so everything between 30 and 170 yd is plus or minus an inch or less.
