Lehigh Defense's Maximum Expansion technology produces projectiles with the largest wound channels of any bullet on the market. This 194-grain Maximum Expansion bullet features a unique 3-petal design and is designed to create large-expanding, high-weight retention 300 Blackout ammunition.

This bullet requires a fast rate barrel twist of 1:8" or faster to properly stabilize.

Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.

Our Maximum Expansion® Technology produces projectiles that create the largest wound channels of any bullet on the market. These cavernous hollow points are designed to expand upon contact with a fluid-based medium through hydraulic energy. They do not expand on dry mediums like wood, drywall, bone, or sheet metal. The expansion process of Lehigh's Maximum Expansion technology is very different than that of a traditional lead-jacketed bullet that expands when it comes in contact with a hard surface – we designed these bullets to expand where the expansion is needed, and that is in the vital zone of your intended target.

Lehigh Maximum Expansion rifle bullets expand with four petals to a diameter often twice the original bullet diameter while still providing deep penetration. Contrast this with a traditional jacketed bullet that expands and quickly mushrooms the nose along the bullet's shank, once again reducing the diameter to a less effective size. Through design and testing, we can move the expansion point and maintain the expansion diameter exactly where required, providing the optimum terminal performance for the specific application.

Maximum Expansion rifle bullets are available for .223 Remington, 300 Blackout, 300 HAM'R, .308 Winchester, and .30-06 Springfield.

Lehigh Maximum Expansion handgun and subsonic rifle bullets expand with razor-sharp petals positioned AND maintained at the largest diameter to provide the greatest cutting surface. Contrast this with a traditional jacketed bullet that expands and quickly mushrooms the nose back along the bullet's shank, once again reducing the diameter down to a less effective size. The maximum diameter expansion limits penetration, making the handgun Maximum Expansion bullets ideal for situations where over penetration can endanger innocents.

Maximum Expansion handgun and subsonic rifle bullets are currently available for 9mm Luger, .357 Magnum, .38 Special +P and .45 Colt designed explicitly for the Taurus Judge. Subsonic .300 Blackout bullets are also available.

Solid copper Maximum Expansion bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead-free projectiles.

    They work for me

I started using .308 diameter, 194 grain Maximum Expansion Bullets from Lehigh in '24 to see how the preformed in .300 Black Out Subs on deer. Shot one doe that fall & had a pass through with shot placement behind shoulder. Shot two bucks this year with one pass through & one bullet recovery. Both bucks were dead on their feet & bullet recovery showed perfect expansion as advertised. Heard all 3 bullets hit the deer at 90+ yards.

Best 300 blk subsonic round for hunting

The is hands down the best 300 blk subsonic round you can get for hunting. I have taken over 100 small to medium size game animals with this bullet when subsonic rounds were mandatory. You put this bullet in the kill when it belongs and it will surely get the result you want. Pricey bullets, but we'll worth it!

Bought these bullets off the recommendation of a friend. Great quality, great accuracy, and amazing terminal performance. They definitely deliver short/medium range.

    A great bullet.

I have taken 4 whitetails so far with this bullet in my 300 Blk. Each was taken with 1 shot and none went further then 30 yards after being hit. Good clean kills with a sub-sonic load, just what I was looking for. Thanks for an amazing bullet.
