The advanced technology Xtreme Defense Fluid Transfer Monolithic (XD FTM) is changing the way self-defense bullets are perceived. This bullet is optimal for use in .38 Special and .357 Magnum loads.

Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.

The advanced technology Xtreme Defense Fluid Transfer Monolithic (XD FTM) is changing the way self-defense bullets are perceived. Like the Xtreme Penetrator, the progressive nose geometry allows for deep, straight penetration while creating a permanent wound cavity diameter exceeding that of most expanding bullets. Additionally, the bullet is solid copper, able to overcome barriers to penetration, is environmentally friendly and does massive tissue damage on impact. Penetrating barriers such as drywall or heavy clothing prior to impacting the intended target doesn’t have the potentially negative effect on the Xtreme Defense that it does to conventional hollow point bullets.

The nose design is the key. The Fluid Transfer’s radial flutes force the hydraulic energy inward and then as the energy is restricted, it accelerates outward creating high pressure spikes severely damaging surrounding tissue. This very rapid increase in fluid flow creates cavitation and massive tissue damage away from the projectile equivalent to those of the best hollow points on the market. The result of the Xtreme Defense is a permanent wound cavity that is two to four times greater than what a flat or round nose bullet generates and often larger than traditional or solid copper expanding bullets. What you get is a self-defense bullet that will shoot through barriers without deformation or trajectory change and creates a larger permanent wound cavity coupled with the desired 18 inches of penetration.

Xtreme Defense bullets are currently available in the following caliber diameters: .312, .355, .357, .400, .410, .429, .451, .452, and .458.

Solid copper Xtreme Defense bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead free projectiles.

    Great bullet

I needed a CA compliant bullet I could hunt with or just carry for self defense . I was amazed working up a load pretty easily that shoot 1- 1 1/2 groups at 50 yards off bags out of a S&W 686 revolver with 6in barrel and 2X scope. Tough good penatrating bullet to.

    Excellent defense bullets

I carry these loaded in my 357 for when I am out in the woods. We are high desert and the woods include brush and cedar/pinyon alomg with Aspen and dark timber. There are a lot of bears along with lions around our side of the mountain so I go armed with my Ruger and don't worry about running into one of the critters we have in our neighborhood. I have also tried them at long range and found even at 200 yards they will easily hit the target, very accurate bullets.

    Very Trustworthy

I have watched many ballistic gel tests and it seems to me that even the most expensive JHP rounds shot from short barrels are prone to failure to expand and thus over-penetrate. I have 40 years of experience and I am willing to bet my life on the Xtreme Defense design. I find them easy to drive safely at the slower speeds common to a short barreled .357 and the damage and penetration are consistent. I am not a LEO so I do not worry much about barrier blindness but if there is really a blind bullet, it is this technology.

Lehigh Defense is one of a kind

These bullets are extreme. they load well once you get used to how to do it. They are very accurate. They're terminal performance is far superior to any other type of defensive round. Let's face it, they are expensive but so are good hollow points and these are machined parts, not just cast lead.
