.451 diameter, 170 grain Controlled Fracturing Bullets (50 count)

Lehigh Defense
THIS BULLET IS FOR MUZZLELOADER USE ONLY. Controlled Fracturing bullets are pre-stressed at specific points so that the razor-edge petals deploy after a predetermined penetration depth, releasing an energy spike. These bullets are designed to deliver maximum terminal performance and are optimal for use in .451 muzzleloader loads.
Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.
Lehigh Defense originated Controlled Fracturing Technology. These bullets are designed to deliver maximum terminal performance. Controlled Fracturing bullets are produced from solid copper and are pre-stressed at specific points so that after a predetermined penetration depth, the razor-edge petals deploy, releasing an energy spike and then separate and radiate outward from the primary path of the bullet. The bullet shank, now back to bore diameter, continues penetrating straight and deep along the initial impact path.
Unlike traditional expanding bullets which mushroom and dramatically limit the bullet's penetration and provide only one wound path, Lehigh Defense's Controlled Fracturing ammunition creates an initial energy transfer, multiple wound paths, and a deep penetrating base with a sharp front cutting edge for extreme terminal performance.
I consider the Controlled Fracturing to be the ULTIMATE self-defense bullet and the 9mm 115 grain Controlled Fracturing is what I carry daily.

Controlled Fracturing bullets are currently available in the following caliber diameters: .308, .355, .357, .375, .400, .451, .452, .458 and .500.
Solid copper Controlled Fracturing bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead free projectiles.
I have been shooting these for a few years now out on my Knight UL. They shoot MOA out of my gun and the performance of deer has been outstanding.
Only did range work with these but the are MOA at 100yards with 100 BH 209 and MMP h24 sabot.
I am shooting this bullet from my Knight rifles with either 120gr. vol of T7 or BH209 powder. They are an excellent shooting bullet. They achieved really excellent velocity from my 50 cal. rifles. Velocities of 2210 with BH and 2150 with T7. With these velocities I can really emulate shooting a top ML bullet from a 45 fast twist ML. The Terminal Ballistics of the bullet is outstanding.
Sighted in with my TC Omega and using mmp HPH-24 sabots. Got sighted in and had 3 shots in succession with the holes touching. Took out deer hunting and took a shot at a 200 lb white tail. Shot was just under 100 yrds (complete pass thru as advertised) and the deer ran maybe 80 before piling up. Blood trail wasn't great but decent and started at about the 30 yrd mark.
