Causes bolt to seize inside carrier
These sounded like a good idea. For the action to cycle, the bolt must move within the carrier. Even when poorly lubed, OEM bolt rings will continue to allow bolt movement so the action will cycle. Lubrication is critical to these Wilson rings. They seal so well and are so tight within the carrier, that they must be lubed frequently, even within sessions. Low lube and the bolt becomes sluggish. No lube and the bolt will almost seize within the carrier and the action will behave erratically. I had high hopes but now my rifles are set back to OEM bolt rings.
