What you're holding is a literal cross-section of a woolly mammoth tusk, 10,000 years in the making. Those concentric rings aren't decorative - they're a geological record of a living animal, now preserved on your EDC X9 2.0.
Crosscut mammoth ivory is sliced perpendicular to the tusk's long axis exposing the actual growth rings, radial grain lines, and natural color banding laid down over the animal's lifetime.
