The Stainless classic retro commander style 1911 hammer is fully CNC machined from solid stainless steel bar stock and heat treated to R/C 48-52 to produce the one of the finest 1911 hammers on the market. This hammer features a classic commander design that will please traditionalists for its timeless appeal. The precisely dimensioned hooks are cut to .020" with an 8 RMS ground finish and narrowed half-cock notch to prevent sear nose damage.

NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.
NOTE: All "Commander" style hammers fitted to a USGI-style 1911 will require grip safety modification for clearance or the installation of a beavertail grip safety.

Nice Hammer
I've always liked the look of a GI style 1911 with a beavertail and a commander hammer and decided to get this and a deluxe sear. Fitting wasn't too hard and it works just fine. I will say that my Colt's hammer pin needed to be slimmed down a little to work with this part, but aside from that, no issues and I still say it's a nice touch.
