I wont use any aluminum fram gun without putting one of these mags in first. I had a Kimber whose feed ramp I tore to pieces by using the factory mags. The end result? After about 1k rounds- it was misfiring everywhere. The new Kimber got Wilsons from the get-go. No problems ever- and I wont ever expect any.

excellent quality. pick this up for my kimber ultra CDP. after 250 rounds ive not had a single failure to cycle. follower is smooth and easier to load. one issue i had with lost follower on loading first round --it popped out-- was resolved by wilson quickly. will be buying three more.
I have been shooting for over 50 years but am new to the 1911 model. So when I purchased my compact- I scoured the web for the best magazines available. Almost invariably I found the Wilson Combat 47 series highly praised. I can now see why. These are as rugged and well made as the guns for which they were designed. When using a high quality auto pistol- it is only common sense to use the highest quality magazine. It is the heart of the system.
Ive used the big brother- 47D- for years and have had flawless operation from them. I recently acquired a compact 1911 and hence picked up some of these smaller magazines. They have the same quality construction and excellent operation!
