The base plate is too tall, so the mags don’t click in. They just fall out or partial lock. I shaved down the top of the base plate and now they run great.
I bought a few of these to replace the Checkmate magazines supplied with my Dan Wesson CCO- and they are fantastic! I dont ever see myself using anything other than Wilson Combat magazines for my 1911s.
!st thing i do with a new 1911- of any manufacture- is pick up several Wilson Mags! Best most dependable available today as far as im concerned.
I am by no means an expert- but I have had my share of “custom” 1911’s- and yes in some cases they can be a bit picky. But I can say with 100% of the guns I tried them on- Wilson Combat magazines created a noticeable difference. No matter what I tried including the 47-0X- 47-OXC- 47-OXCB- 47A they all improved performance. So what else can I say- they made my guns more reliable. Does anything else matter?
I have to say no other 1911 mag beats Wilson Combat.
These mags give flawless performance no matter what I feed them - factory ball- all manner of hollowpoints- my flat- and round-nose reloads- you name it. They jump right out when I hit the release and go in nice and easy.
Bought this magazine because my Kimber Ultra Carry II was experiencing some feeding problems with the stock Kimber mags. Its run flawlessly while using these mags after a couple hundred rounds.
I second that. I too purchased 2 of these magazines for my Kimber Ultra Carry 2. Cant say enough good things about them.
I bought 2 of these for my Kimber Ultra Carry and the quality is amazing.I wish Kimber would just include 2 of these with every purchase and charge me the difference. No matter what you shoot these are the best mags you will get for the money period.
