NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Wish it is more blued
I actually bought this over the competitor product thinking it is blued as much as my blued 1911 slide. It is polished OK, but the blue is too thin. Slightly disappointed.

Doesn't Fit
Does not fit Sig 1911-XCarry. Piece is maybe 1-2mm too small across the tangs. You can force it on, but it won't sit flush abasing the bottom of the grip. If you do so, weapon-supplied Mecgar magazines will not engage with magazine retentions.

Magwell won't seat mags
Bought for my Kimber LW nightstar. Not sure if I installed wrong but all the videos I watched is a fairly simple. Just hook to the grip screws housing... But my mags won't seat at all. The 7round mag it came with a Kimber 8round and armscor 8round mag not sure why. Looks nice the grips and front strapping felt great and looked nice.

Excellent product, well made, adds to the overall appearance of the 1911. Price is better than others
This is an excellent magwell option for easy install with no platform modifications. It looks good and is well built. Install is easy on a Colt Series 70. The hooks fit perfectly over the bushings. If there is one caveat it is that this magwell is not much wider if all all than the bottom of beveled grips. Unlike most other magwells which have shoulders that flare widely in size outside of the dimension of the bottom of beveled grips, this magwell is almost flush with beveled grips at the bottom. So don't purchase magwell prepared grips as this is narrowed and if the grips are magwell cut, they will stick out over the top of the magwell. There will be no flush fit looking. It is another surface, the bottoms of the grips that is if they are magwell cut, that can get caught on things. I recommend beveled grips with the proper recess cut on the back if you are going to use there, that is if you want to reduce two more snagging surfaces and want there to be a seamless flush fit. Excellent magwell for the price.

Outstanding
Quick and simple install for my Kimber Custom II. Great product

Wonderful Addition
I installed the Magazine Well on my Kimber Ultra Carry II. The magazine well provides a little more length in the grip which helps me grasp the pistol with my large hands, and makes changing magazines a lot easier. The magazine well slipped right in to place with only light tapping with a wooden hammer handle.

Sorry I Waited So Long To Install It.
Fit great with just a bit of work to open the curve that fits around the grip screws.

Beautiful Addition But A Slight Problem.
This mag well is simple to install and very beneficial on mag changes, but this magwell has some issues when using certain mags. They don’t fully engage with the release and just fall out, because there is a small amount of the mag pad that touches the mag well and blocks it from fully inserting. But that is a small issue that can worked around.
