For professional shooters, our blued extended magazine release stands out from the rest due to its chunky checkered button which enables quick reloads with minimal motion. 

When it comes to speed shooting competitions, a successful magazine change can make all the difference between victory and defeat. For this reason, most competitive shooters rely on our extended magazine release for its wide checkered button that allows for swift changes with minimal movement. However, if you are looking to use your carry pistol in competition we suggest removing the large button from our extended magazine release with an included allen wrench leaving behind a standard-sized version ideal for your everyday holster setup.

  • Lock (R15B) and spring (R15A) is recommended for installation

NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

    The magazine catch/release in my Springfield Armory "Emissary" 1911 (9mm) felt gritty when pressed and the mag wouldn't fall free when the slide was open. This extended catch/release is better finished, operates smoothly and the mag fell free with slide open. Great part, must get!!!

    I did not like the OEM Mag Release on my Ruger SR1911. This part fills the bill. Easy Install.

    I purchased this mag release for my Kimber Raptor II. It arrived on time and dropped right in! It functions smoother than the release Kimber provides. I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve the ergonomics of their 1911.

    fit perfectly on my springfield armory 1911 a-1 gi model. a lttle sticky at 1st but its brand new and needs to be broken in. a lil bit of lube solved the problem. release head is bigger than the factory one making it easier to hit without looking. great piece for any 1911!! highly recomend it
