For professional shooters, our Stainless extended magazine release stands out from the rest due to its chunky checkered button which enables quick reloads with minimal motion. 

When it comes to speed shooting competitions, a successful magazine change can make all the difference between victory and defeat. For this reason, most competitive shooters rely on our extended magazine release for its wide checkered button that allows for swift changes with minimal movement. However, if you are looking to use your carry pistol in competition we suggest removing the large button from our extended magazine release with an included allen wrench leaving behind a standard-sized version ideal for your everyday holster setup.

  • Lock (R15BS) and spring (R15A) is recommended for installation

NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

    I replaced my Colt mag releases with these extended models, they work GREAT! If you have small hands or short fingers the Oversized model may be best for you. Regardless, these have made a big difference for me. It was drop-in on my 2013 stainless Series 80 Colt, I had to do some minor fitting on my 1998 Series 80 Colt, used a small hand file and I was done in about 10 mins. Mags drop right out with both when depressed.

    These Extensions made a world of difference on all my 1911's ! Remington R1 Stainless, Para Expert Carry 3" Barrel, Kimber Pro Carry Stainless II Raptor "Custom Shop"! They are awesome!

    Excellant Addition To My 1911 9Mm

    Does exactly what it was meet to do. Allowing me to reach the mag release without changing my grip on the gun. Would highly recommend this to anyone with a 1911. The only con is that it does not come with the locking screw and spring but thats a small detail.

    I had tried five other extended mag releases before trying this one. This is the absolute best release on the market today. It costs a little more but man is it worth every penny. Safe, Secure and Positive.
