However, keep in mind that not all guns are compatible with this magazine release; some may require modification to fit your grip properly.

NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Nice piece
I have this on my Kimber Rapide Dawn and it’s a nice piece. Dropped right in, functions perfectly and the quality of the part is very good. I am a Wilson Combat fan boy. I wish I could post a picture to help others with making a decision and show it off lol.

Great part
This is without a doubt the best mag release I have ever seen,used or am aware of. If you don't have one installed on your 1911 style pistol you are missing out. I am blown away by how much it has improved my reload times.Highly recommended even if you have average to large hands. Try it, if you don't love it I'll be amazed.A little pricey but worth every nickel imo. Dropped in with no fitting required.Shoulda bought one a long time ago.

Great magazine release
Just wanted to thank you for offering such a fantastic product! The oversized stainless steel 1911 mag release cut almost a full second off of my stage times. Best upgrade I've ever made for my Kimber. The multi-Comp, X-Tac mainspring housing, and magazine release look as good as they preform! Best wishes. John House

Really Makes A Difference!
Having small hands, mag changes are a challenge. 50 with this mag release installed. Being skeptical, I ordered one, installed it and did a comparison test doing 50 mag speed changes with original mag release and 50 with this one. 100 %change on first try with this. 70% with stock part. Also unobtrusive. No snag on any holster I use. Did require modifying Hogue rubber grips.

Really Improves Access But...
... probably not IDPA legal. Needed to get better access to my Springfield TRP traditional 1911 magazine release and this product fit like a glove. Installed in a matter of minutes once I pressed in on the old release to turn the screw. Bought the catch lock and spring as well. My thumb actually touches the button during gripping, but I still need to shift only slightly to press for the release. As with all Wilson products, this is top notch quality.
