The large checkered paddle ensures it won't be missed under pressure. Boasting a black oxide finish and stainless steel checkered paddle, this product is sure to provide reliable service for many years to come. However, keep in mind that not all guns are compatible with this magazine release; some may require modification to fit your grip properly.

NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Fitment wasn’t the best but I love the look and it feels great
I wasn’t necessarily expecting it to drop right in but I wasn’t expecting to have to do much filing. I had to file it for about 30 min to make it fit but it’s still not perfect. Although it doesn’t fit the best, it does make for a crisper mag release. Would’ve been better if it fit better.

So much better now!
Five minutes to install, so much easier to reach! Makes everything better. My CQB is blued, but the barrel and bushing are stainless so it doesn't look out of place at all. Looking forward to the range tomorrow!

Exactly what I wanted! Great quality and it dropped in with no alterations. Would be even better if available a blued or phosphated pad. Perhaps you could run a batch of blued pads for those who bought the blued model.

I have smaller hands so the mag release is always an issue for me. Installed this in my Kimber Custom. Problem solved.

Great Mag Release
This product totally changes reloads the from the awkward movements required by the tiny stock mag release button on most 1911s. Could only be better if Wilson offered it with a blued pad.

WOW! Received the mag release today and had it in the gun in 5 min. Dropped in NO fitting required, and works just like factory, except now I dont have to change my grip to reach the release. Would like to see it in all Blue but the stainless does not look bad and matches my stainless trigger. A+++

After much research I went with this one and it is amazing. Easy to install and great to use. If you compete then this is the extended mag release for you.

This item works great but the actual button is still stainless steel so it looks weird when placed on black pistols. No idea why they didnt blue the entire part to make it look right.
