NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Just What I Needed
My other three 1911 guns already had extended mag releases. When I got my new Colt Commander, it came with a standard length mag release. I found the stock release usable, but for me to consistently & reliably perform mag changes, I needed this extended version. The Wilson mag release fit with no additional sanding/filing.

Easy Upgrade
Easy install with no fitting on my Colt Govt XSE. Bought the Wilson spring and catch as well for only a few bucks more. The whole package together feels much better and releases much smoother than the standard colt piece. Also, much higher quality and doesnt nick or mar when removing. The colt metal on the mag release was cheap and marked easily.

When You Need Just Little More.
I purchased a 31T Magazine release for my 1911 and it is just right. As the description states, it is just a little bit longer, which is perfect for my short thumb. Not too big and bulky, doesnt snag or catch when drawing from concealment, and most importantly, it is not easy to hit on something when you dont want to accidently release the magazine. It installed easily and fit perfectly. This Magazine release is perfect for when you need just a little more.

Drop In Fit!
This was easy to install, just add your own spring and retainer. The finish is excellent and makes dropping a magazine much easier.
