NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Drop in on Colt Competition 1911
I ordered this Bullet Proof tactical magazine release along with the Lock (R15B) and spring (R15A) as recommended by Wilson Combat. Wow!! The extra 1/16” gives you a lot more leverage over the standard Colt magazine release. It also dropped right in with no filing whatsoever! Definitely an upgrade!!

Overall Good But Required Fitting.
I installed this in my STI Trojan. However, I had to file a bit off my existing magazine catch lock so that it would rotate fully and the magazine release would engage properly.

Rough Around The Edges
It works, but it took me a bunch of TLC to get it functioning properly.

Perfect Fit
Replaced the mag release, catch and spring on my Colt Combat Commander with the bullet proof tactical. It was a perfect drop in fit and the operation is nothing less than spectacular.

Perfect fit for my Colt Government. I do recommend getting the WC catch and spring, as the originals seemed flimsy in such a superb release

Great Release
I have a Colt Govt 70 Series 70 1911 that is highly customized. A great number of the improvements are Wilson Combat Bullet Proof parts, machine work, machining work and refinishing. This is by far the finest Mag release made!!! Buy one!

A High Quality Item
Installed this magazine release in my Kimber Warrior. It dropped straight in. Initially, the catch was biting on the magazine a bit too firmly; it actually made a little dent on the magazine lip. I made some minor fitting and now the magazine insertion and ejection are both smooth as butter!

Like A Porsche On The Autobahn
A friend told me that he was not happy with the quality of the mag release on his Kimber: it felt gritty, spongy and sluggish. I replaced it with a WC Bullet Proof version and now it functions like a Porsche on the Autobahn. Quality is everything and, as always, Wilson leads the way.
