Our Bullet Proof ringed cap recoil spring plug is crafted with utmost precision, CNC-machined from 316 Stainless Steel bar stock for unsurpassed durability.

Our Bullet Proof ringed cap recoil spring plug is crafted with utmost precision, CNC-machined from 316 Stainless Steel bar stock for unsurpassed durability. Its end has been left uncheckered to maintain its sleek aesthetics—a feature that a bushing/bushing wrench will not ruin during assembly or disassembly. Recoil spring plugs are easily misplaced during breakdown, and your handgun won't function properly without one; it's always prudent to have an extra on standby just in case!

When it comes to high-performance handguns, Wilson Combat® Bullet Proof® parts are unrivaled in terms of quality, craftsmanship and cost. Each component is skillfully CNC machined from solid steel billet for a precise and perfect fit; castings or substandard imported injection molded parts will never use the Bullet Proof® name. Invest in Bullet Proof® parts with full assurance they are free of any defects or breakage - a guarantee that can't be beaten! We offer the strongest warranty and highest quality parts in the industry.

    Looks great

Another piece that dropped right into my 1911 DUTY RAIDER from Tisas. I figured to get a matching plug with the Wilson Combat barrel bushing. The set up looks great.

    Replced 2-piece Guide Rod

Replced 2-piece Guide Rod. Needed one of these, and liked the look. Price and fit can't be beat. Going to get another, maybe two for those ooops-spring slips.

    Nice Item

Looks great, and I had to shorten it to go with the compensator. It was scary cut such a nice piece of engineering but after I was done it worked great.

    Beautiful!

Bought this to compliment my new flat wire Kit on my ria 1911 fs tactical and I love it! Its so much easier to break this down than with the plug that came with the stock full length guide rod and looks great against the black....... Now on to more wc products!

    Good Looking Replacement Plugs

Posted by Jason on Jul 4th 2013

Bought one of these a few months back to convert my Springfield Operator full-length guide rod back into a G.I. style. Looks and performs great. Loved it to the point where when a friend sent it flying off the spring into the vast unknown of a shell case covered range floor, I bought two more.

Bought a couple to go with the stainless bushing in my Wilson modified Colt and Springfield TRP. Fit was perfect and looks great! Highly recommended for a great look and reliability.

    Nice Replacement Piece, But Fyi...

Posted by Andrew Stewart on Apr 27th 2011

I bought this item in conjunction with #614 flat-wire spring/rod to replace the two-piece FLGR in my Springfield TRP. When I went to install the plug, the bushing absolutely would not rotate over to trap it. Research tells me the plug is approximately 0.015 too long for the TRP, but a few swipes over a flat file fixed that and this beautiful piece has taken over duties for the two-piece unit. My new gun looks much better now!

    Outstanding

Posted by Daniel Tolson on Mar 13th 2011

I paired this up with a stainless Wilson barrel bushing on my blued Para. It looks great! The best thing is that I got rid of my half blued, half scratched up factory recoil spring plug. Now I dont cringe every time I field strip my weapon. This is the best add-on if you want to keep the heritage of a 1911 by not adding a full length guide rod. There was no need to alter anything, it just went right into place.
