Wilson Combat
Upgrade your 1911 pistol's accuracy with a more traditional sight picture in the square notch Vicker's Elite rear sight. Equip your handgun with a heavy duty, improved rear night sight today!
The Vicker's 1911 rear Battlesight is designed with a serrated 40 lines-per-inch concave rear blade, while the notch area has been placed inside a semi-circular pocket for an ultra-crisp sight picture. In addition to being .030” taller than most low mounts sights, this unique design works just as well on full and compact-sized handguns alike. Larry Vickers' dedication to designing and producing top-of-the-line products stems from his experience with firearms both in combat operations as part of US Army 1st SFOD Delta, and within industry circles as a marksmanship instructor & consultant.
Larry Vicker's is a retired US Army 1st SFOD- Delta combat veteran with years of experience in the firearms industry as a combat marksmanship instructor and industry consultant.
"The Wilson Combat Vickers Elite duty rear sight is inspired by a fixed sight design I used on my issued 1911 Government Model pistol while in Delta Force. Then, as now, it serves as a great heavy duty rear sight on a 1911 and with the additional features incorporated by Wilson’s from their Battlesight it takes the whole concept to another level. I’m proud to be part of this project."

DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

The description Wilson provides doesn’t explain the primary benefit and difference of the Vickers Elite sight. The main benefit is that it is elongated to the rear, extending the rear sight past the back of the gun. This gives and extended sight radius for greater accuracy and brings the rear sight closer to the eye. This is very innovative. Now, the downside is the sight is not flush to the rear of the gun. There is a little rear leg to help blend it into the back of the slide, but it does stick out. So you gain an advantage for shooting, but lose a little sleekness for carry or aesthetics. I ordered my Wilson Combat with this sight and think it is great for a duty, home defense, or range use 1911. I would probably go with a lower profile and smaller sight for a concealed carry gun.
