    Poor finish quality

    Purchased this and had to send it back due to poor hole alignment and the finish was flaking off. They sent me a new one and after a test fire of 100 rounds of 5.56 NATO 62 gr ammunition the inside had chips of "anodizing" flaked off, rubbed off, and scrape marks again. Plus the charging handle latch was causing the outer coating to rub off and the aluminum was shaving off, leaving tiny pieces of metal when ever the charging handle was used. I would not recommend this to most shooters, but it is a cheap alternative for first time builders and shooters. Just don't expect much for quality.

    Good tight fit with my faxon barrel. Perfect fit with hand guard. Just wish it would of had the Wilson logo on it.

    Bought this upper to go on an older wilson lower and generic upper with slop, rattling, and looseness. Right out of the box installed the stripped upper on the older stripped lower. The fit is tight, perfect, and so good, I worry about the cerakote layer making it too tight! Wilson quality at its finest.

    Forward Assist Problems

    Forward assist holes are misaligned. If I put any forward assist in this, it will not work place it in any other it works. Leaves big gouge marks from roll pin. Can not pull charging handle back. I had it file metal off a forward assist plunger to make it somewhat work. Never had a problem with a forward assist in any upper until now.

    Side by side with a lower tier company's upper you can see why it's worth the cost, buy budget get poor machining buy quality perfect finish inside and out

    I used this upper on a S&W sport fit and finish excellent, very happy with this part and not hesitate to buy more parts from Wilson Combat .l also like Kevin for his help with this build .
