Our outstanding ETM polymer follower has been paired with the MAX flatwire spring. The heat-treated stainless MAX flatwire construction never gets stressed or over-compressed like a conventional spring and is guaranteed to never require replacement even after high round counts or daily, extreme duty use.
The ETM Max Spring/Follower Kit will improve reliability in all existing compatible magazines and especially in an extreme service environment. This spring and follower is compatible with all ammunition from light target loads to +P service ammunition.

The ETM Max Spring/Follower Kit will retrofit into all existing ETM 8rd 45 ACP magazines, and will also convert existing 47 series Full-Size mag tubes from 8 round to 7 round capacity, and convert all 47 series Compact 7 round mag tubs from 7 round to 6 round capacity (due to extra spring coils).

Incredible performance
I replaced all the round-wire springs in the ETM mags I use for competition and defense with these. GREAT SPRINGS! Feeding and lock-back are both much more positive...and I no longer have to worry about replacing springs every year or so. They work perfectly with my mid-range competition loads AND with the heavier defensive loads (Fed. HSTs). Wilson Combat is simply the best.

Great as upgrade to 47 series, but….
Needed to update 3x 47-45FS8B mags. I needed a beefed up spring and a tighter follower to match up with the updated springs in my 1911. My slide lock was not engaging quickly enough on an empty mag, which was the most visible symptom. My Mer-Gar mags were fine, with the enhanced springs. This kit fits right in the 47-45FS8B. However, it reduces the capacity to 7 rounds. It states as much in the included literature with the package. I’m OK with it as it allows me to continue to use my existing 47-45FS8B’s, and I really just use these at the range, so no self-defense impacts. I believe this flat-wire spring setup is the best in the industry, both as a recoil spring and a mag spring. Wilson Combat always sets the pace with the very best in 1911 add-ons and tech.

Excellent springs as always.
I replaced the round wire spring that came in my ETM Wilson mags with this flat wire spring. No loss of 8 round capacity. I needed the 25% added force because I set up one of my Kimbers to handle 45 Super rounds. As to Kevin's review on 1/31/17, hey Kevin, read the last paragraph in the product details. We're at the end of 2024, so maybe you've figured out your mag/slide problem by now. P.S. Thanks Wilson Combat for another outstanding product.

Great Investment
I bought 4 of these to place in one ETM, two Wilson 47D, and one Chip McCormick. Went in flawless in all of my mags but I have this to comment: Im able to fit 8 rounds comfortably in the ETM magazine, Im able to fit 8 rounds in the 47D and CMC magazines. With the ETM magazine Im able to fit a magazine in with a closed slide. Im not able to load a 47D or CMC magazine with a closed slide. I dont know if I should stop loading my 47Ds to 8 round capacity. I wonder if continuing to do this will cause spring fatigue on these Flat-Wire springs. Only time, or the customer service department can tell. So far I havent had any jams or failure to lock the slide with these Springs on my wilson magazines, cant say the same for the CMC magazine. Wilson Combat really is the best!
