Light primer strikes in DA with skeletonized hammer

    Posted by J011YGR33N on Jan 24th 2024

I used the 12# hammer spring and light firing pin from WC on my 92A1 with a skeletonized hammer. The DA pull averages 6.5lbs and just under 3lbs in SA. I get light primer strikes using factory loads about 50% of the time. I’ll order the 13# and 14# pound spring to rectify the issues with my specific pistol.

    Very Noticeable Improvement

Posted by Les on Sep 24th 2021

The Beretta M9 comes with a very strong hammer spring, that was the first thing to swap out using the 12# spring. Reduced the trigger pull by I would estimate 3 pounds at the trigger. Makes the double action pull much more manageable. Easy to install, remove the grips, press the lanyard rod against the table, push the pin out, slowly lift the gun up and the spring and lanyard pin come out. (See instructional vids on youtube.) Install the spring, insert the lanyard rod, press on a table, line up the hole and insert the pin. Install the grips. Done!

    Wonderful Easy Upgrade

Posted by Matthew Berry on Oct 12th 2020

I put this 12# spring in with the wilson combat hammer and kept the original firing pin spring from the factory and have fired many different brands and works like a charm!...Highly recommend this upgrade for a totally different trigger

Reduced My Da Trigger Pull To 8#

Posted by Steve Gill on Sep 14th 2020

Reduced my DA trigger pull from about 12# to 8#. never a misfire. Wonderful. I left the stock hammer in and it worked fine with this spring. Later I also upgraded the hammer as well. I stepped thought this using the 16#, then the 14# and finally the 12# all worked fine but the 12# yielded the 8# DA pull.

    Amazing Upgrade!

Totally transformed the gun. Trigger is so light and crisp now. Been 100% reliable for me. Tested several types of ammo with zero light primer strikes.
