    This is my go to recoil spring for my .45 1911s. Typically, full size .45 ACP 1911s are equipped with 16 lb springs out of the factory. You can use them, but with the 18.5 lb spring there's a noticeable decrease in felt recoil. Better reliability too. This is particularly true with 230 gr. hardballs. Combine this spring with a shok buff and you will feel softer smoother recoil out of your .45!

    Inexpensive and nice to have. It's a bit stiff, but also smooth and works just fine with 230 grain ammo of all types in my basic Colt Government that I've been working on.

    I was having feeding issues with my 5” 1911. Purchased the 18.5 pound spring and those issues went away. The extra force is all she needed to properly chamber those rounds. Thank you

    You really don’t think that 2 1/2lb of resistance would make a difference. Dead wrong. I ordered to replace a worn out weak 16lb spring and I couldn’t be happier. I have positive engagement EVERY SINGLE ROUND, period. It feeds anything with zero failure to return to battery. 1000% will be buying again for my wifes

    My 1911 was havin problems feeding the round completely into the chamber picked up one of these now it runs with out a problem feeds every time. Wilson customer for all 1911 needs.
