.308 diameter, 140 grain Controlled Chaos Bullets (50 count)

Controlled Chaos bullets offer the best of both worlds when it comes to ballistic performance. This bullet is optimal for use in 300 Blackout and .308 Winchester loads.
Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.
There are two philosophies when it comes to bullets. One believes rapid expansion, moderate penetration, and weight loss are best, while the other believes that moderate expansion, deep penetration, and virtually no weight loss are best. Both have their virtues and applications, but why settle for one or the other when you can have both?
Controlled Chaos ® bullets offer the best of both. Once fluid is impacted, they shed the front portion of the bullet into multiple petals that radiate outward away from the bullets initial trajectory path resulting in a massive energy spike. The bore diameter base of the bullet continues and penetrates deeply in a straight line. Both the temporary and permanent wound cavity created by this bullet separation is dramatic resulting in quick incapacitation. The solid base creates additional tissue damage and often results in full penetration of the animal.
The Controlled Chaos ® bullet doesn’t expand or fragment when it impacts hard barriers like drywall, only when it impacts fluid, where it expands, fractures, and does its devastation.
No other bullet on the market offers the accuracy and repeatable terminal performance of the Controlled Chaos ®.
Controlled Chaos ® bullets are currently available in the following diameters: .204, .224, .243, .257, .264, .277, .284, .308, .311, .355, and .358.
Solid copper Controlled Chaos ® bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead-free projectiles.
Put 4 shots inside an inch at 100 yards working up loads for the kids' 300 blk deer rounds. I plan on using this on deer out to 200 yards.
Works good on hogs and coyote. Best deal on all copper bullets!
As always, Lehigh has excellent production and quality control. Have not had the chance to shoot these into any target media, but as is typical with Lehigh, each bullet looks like a little jewels.
I don't trust commercial rounds with my life for defensive ammo. I'd rather roll my own match grade ammo and not second guess the quality, reliability, or precision. I can afford to sort weigh new nickle cases and bullets, flash hole debur, and trickle weigh my powder charges. New 5.56 nickel brass resized and trimmed to recommended 1.358", CCI 41 primers, Win296, bullets seated to recommended 2.110", light crimp, and checked with a slotted Sheridan case gauge. Sexy! Zeroed @ 50yrds, one ragged 5 shot group (1 MOA +/-) from bench rested, with a 1-6x @ 6x Primary Arms ACSS scope to test build/ammo reliability and precision pairing. At 100 yrds I can cover the group with a 3 finger Hunger Games salute. If I need more than that, I'm calling in an air strike. 2150fps.
So far I've shot around 75 rounds of hand loaded 115 grain controlled chaos using the load data provided on the website and I believe that it's the most accurate supersonic round I've loaded and shot. I can't wait to try the maximum expansion with my next order.
Bought these for my .300W PDW...loaded 5 for a friend to test hunting,if they react on a 2 legged biped like they worked on deer.no worries.
I took a heavy 10 point at 175yds. that was bird-dogging a couple of maiden yearling does; one or both must have been hot. Wanted to put the Lehigh 115gr. CC Cu bullet into the chest cavity for the terminal performance information but this buck stopped behind trees with only his head and neck exposed. The bullet had proven very accurate off the bench so I put the bullet drop on the scope & took the shot. The bullet expanded, fragmented as it penetrated, then the core & most of the fragments exited. One of the long banana-peel-like copper fragments was found just inside of the exit wound. No surprises on bullet accuracy/performance at 300BLK velocity but there were two even larger bucks slipping thru the trees just a little beyond and behind this buck. I was so focused on placing the shot, I did not even notice them until after this buck was on the ground. No regrets. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_23/687340_OFFICIAL-2016---2017-SUCCESS-PICTURE-THREAD--.html&page=3
Excellence as always from Lehigh. Had been using 110 grain CC but switched to these because of the better velocity range. Excellent accuracy results in .308 and 300 BO and the wound channels are simply devastating.
Very nice bullet , easy to load . Have not shot one yet but can't wait to see how it goes . Very fast shipping as always .
