Controlled Chaos bullets offer the best of both worlds when it comes to ballistic performance. This bullet is optimal for use in 300 Blackout and .308 Winchester loads.
Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.
There are two philosophies when it comes to bullets. One believes rapid expansion, moderate penetration, and weight loss are best, while the other believes that moderate expansion, deep penetration, and virtually no weight loss are best. Both have their virtues and applications, but why settle for one or the other when you can have both?
Controlled Chaos ® bullets offer the best of both. Once fluid is impacted, they shed the front portion of the bullet into multiple petals that radiate outward away from the bullets initial trajectory path resulting in a massive energy spike. The bore diameter base of the bullet continues and penetrates deeply in a straight line. Both the temporary and permanent wound cavity created by this bullet separation is dramatic resulting in quick incapacitation. The solid base creates additional tissue damage and often results in full penetration of the animal.
The Controlled Chaos ® bullet doesn’t expand or fragment when it impacts hard barriers like drywall, only when it impacts fluid, where it expands, fractures, and does its devastation.
No other bullet on the market offers the accuracy and repeatable terminal performance of the Controlled Chaos ®.
Controlled Chaos ® bullets are currently available in the following diameters: .204, .224, .243, .257, .264, .277, .284, .308, .311, .355, and .358.
Solid copper Controlled Chaos ® bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead-free projectiles.
This Bullet impressed me in the many YouTube videos, as well as the comments that actually said something to the ability of the bullet, instead of the very common"I haven't fired it yet but it is nicely packaged, and I hope I'll never have to use it" type comments that are useless. Lehigh defense has produced an extremely capable round for harvesting wild animals or personal defense. The wild animal probably won't know what hit them. And if used in defense of your life you will defintly not be "undergunned" in most cases. All in all Lehigh defense is way ahead of the game in production of innovative and effective projectiles. I haven't hunted with this round but if it performs like the 110gr Chaos I will be buying more. I loaded up a few of these pills and hit the range. They group well and I expect they will perform well when hunting.
This line of rounds is one of the best all purpose rounds out there if not the best when you throw in price .
Loaded for .300 BO AR. Able to achieve sub 3" groups at 200 yards. Ragged hole groups out of Remington 700 chambered on 300 BO. Loaded into 308 for use as a varmit round. Shot sub 1" group at 200 yards from a Ruger RPR. Will try same load in AR10.... Am very happy with the accuracy and can't wait to go out to the field with these loads.
The .308, 115gr Controlled Chaos is very accurate and much faster than expected in .300 Blackout. I loaded 19gr of H-110 and shot a one-hole group the size of a dime while measuring velocity. Ten shot average velocity of 2401 ft/sec with little variation. Excellent in 16 inch AR-15 platform.
This bullet will drop them in their tracks. Near max load but shoots ragged edge 3 shot groups at 100 yards. From 16" carbine. COL 2.799 50Gr H335 Powder Velocity Average 3,015 FPS Pmax Pressure is 60,010 (Saami Max is 62,000) Since this bullet will still function at over 4,000 fps I am now working on a deer load for the 300 wsm for it.
Great bullet for the blackout. Was able to load to sub minute and MOA recipes for a R700 AAC SD and DD M4V5 carbine. Will take to the field for varmit and predator hunting soon to get results on small game. Will play around with .308 Winchester soon a time permits!
I'm loading these in a 300aac blackout AR platform. My load development and chronograph readings indicate that these projectiles generate higher velocities than others in this weight class. I decreased my normal (H110) 19 grain load down to 18.5 grains. For me, this load is yielding ~2moa, which is good enough for my intended purpose. At almost 50% of the cost of my normal lead-free projectile, and with excellent terminal performance, I'll be buying these again. Thanks Lehigh Defense!
Great looking bullets. I had problems getting the load data on my device. Called and gave my number and name and was called right back and given the info I needed. Will start load development soon and make me a deer killer for the fall. Great price on these projectiles.
