Controlled Chaos bullets offer the best of both worlds when it comes to ballistic performance. This bullet is optimal for use in .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 WSM, .30-06 Springfield, and .308 Winchester loads.
Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.
There are two philosophies when it comes to bullets. One believes rapid expansion, moderate penetration, and weight loss are best, while the other believes that moderate expansion, deep penetration, and virtually no weight loss are best. Both have their virtues and applications, but why settle for one or the other when you can have both?
Controlled Chaos ® bullets offer the best of both. Once fluid is impacted, they shed the front portion of the bullet into multiple petals that radiate outward away from the bullets initial trajectory path resulting in a massive energy spike. The bore diameter base of the bullet continues and penetrates deeply in a straight line. Both the temporary and permanent wound cavity created by this bullet separation is dramatic resulting in quick incapacitation. The solid base creates additional tissue damage and often results in full penetration of the animal.
The Controlled Chaos ® bullet doesn’t expand or fragment when it impacts hard barriers like drywall, only when it impacts fluid, where it expands, fractures, and does its devastation.
No other bullet on the market offers the accuracy and repeatable terminal performance of the Controlled Chaos ®.
Controlled Chaos ® bullets are currently available in the following diameters: .204, .224, .243, .257, .264, .277, .284, .308, .311, .355, and .358.
Solid copper Controlled Chaos ® bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead-free projectiles.
This ammo does what it says! Took a buck & a doe this year. The buck at 100yds & it fell RIGHT where I hit it. Zero tracking! When gutting, I can confirm the core went thru & thru both lungs & exited the deer, while the top fractured into pieces, striking at least 1 kidney & the liver. I may never use another hunting round again. If you don't want to track blood trail & drag deer more than necessary, THIS IS YOUR ROUND.
I was able to take an 80-pound hog with this on a load I had worked up. The hog was facing me with it's head down, and I put the bullet in the top of the neck behind the head and the hog drop dead right there.
5 Star rating on the 70 lb yrling I shot at 80yds broadside. Hit just behind the shoulder or center lung. 2" entry hole & I could put both fist in the exit hole. Deer fell right there & didn't move. Yes, it was a small deer. Would love to try these on a heavier deer. The way this one fell & didn't move, I would suspect that a bigger deer would have the same result.
Very well made and looks like it will do a great job bringing down a deer.
Have not taken any game yet but have worked up a load for my pistol ar308. Built for brush hunting hog/deer. 1/2 moa at 100 yards coming out at over 2400 fps.
I purchased a 1953 Winchester Model 70 chambered in 300 H&H Magnum (bucket list rifle) and was unhappy with the accuracy of factory ammo and reloading the "standard fair" of bullets. The best factory load was 2" and the best reload group was 1.5" at 100 yards. An internet search for custom bullets resulted in me finding this company (and one other). I tried the "other brand" first because they were more (much more) expensive and I hoped they would be more accurate. They did shoot a 1" group, but not the 1/2 group that was my goal. As my last effort (I suggest you try these first - not last as I did) I worked up test loads using this bullet (.308 - 152 gr controlled chaos). The worst group from my 10 test loads was 1" AT 100 yards at 100 yards and the best group was 1/2". Thus my 68 year old Winchester rifle shoots like a target rifle with bullets that I wouldn't be afraid to hunt anything in North America. BTW - the best group was with the maximum load of IMR 4350.
Very accurate at high speeds
Have test loads done for both rifles. Waiting for the ice and snow to stop to fire. That is reasoning for 3 stars. Report back with another reveiw when i get a few down the pipe. Shipping was outstanding
No chance to load any yet
