The concept of a Wide Flat Nose (WFN) projectile is nothing new or groundbreaking, but it does leave room for improvement. Lehigh Defense has taken this proven technology, and incorporated it into our very own lineup of improved WFN’s made of solid copper. This bullet is optimal for use in .45 Colt, .454 Casull, and .460 S&W Magnum handgun loads.

Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.

The concept of a Wide Flat Nose (WFN) projectile is nothing new or groundbreaking, but it does leave room for improvement. It is a proven projectile design that has been around for many years and has successfully been utilized by hunters all over the world who demand deep and straight-line penetration for their hunt. Lehigh Defense has taken this proven technology, and incorporated it into our very own lineup of improved WFN’s made of solid copper.

Lead has a very high density and does a great job at penetrating deep, but it lacks any real structural integrity. Lead is quite soft, especially when compared to copper. Our solid copper WFN line of projectiles have a tensile strength of 10-20x greater than conventional lead projectiles. This massive increase in strength allows our WFNs to punch through the hardest of bone with little to no deformation, which nearly eliminates the possibility of deflection due to the projectile deforming.

Lehigh Defense has recreated the WFN lineup with strategically designed meplats for deep penetration and proper feeding, relief bands to maximize the cartridges velocity potential, and the added strength of solid copper as opposed to lead. The Wide Flat Nose from Lehigh Defense is an excellent choice for hunters that demand the absolute strongest and deepest penetrating solid copper projectile on the market.

Available for both big bore rifles and handguns for popular calibers.

Wide Flat Nose bullets are available in the following caliber diameters: .375, .400, .416, .429, .452, .458, .475 and .500.

Solid copper Wide Flat Nose bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead free projectiles.

    Impressive

Running them in my bighorn Armory 460S&W lever action and they work great. Have to seat the primers a little shallow just in case but they function flawlessly. Definitely a DRT bullet.
