At a muzzle velocity of approximately 1,200 fps from a standard .50 GI 1911 platform, this projectile generates roughly 591 ft-lbs of muzzle energy and expands to a diameter exceeding 1.00" within the first two inches of soft tissue contact. Wound cavity depth measures approximately five inches with eight inches of hydrostatic shock effect and nine inches of total penetration, comfortably within the FBI's 12 to 18-inch protocol range for barrier-blind performance and deliberately optimized for maximum energy transfer rather than over-penetration.

The solid copper construction eliminates jacket separation under expansion stress, ensuring the recovered projectile retains near 100% of its original weight.
