Get your 5" Wilson Combat match-grade barrel today and upgrade your stock barrel for improved accuracy and performance. Our "drop-in" barrel has the critical lock-up contact areas cut to a dimension that provides a good lock-up in most Colt and Springfield pistols.
Wilson Combat® Match-Grade Barrels are the benchmark of high quality and precision. Every Wilson Combat® match barrel is machined from 416R Stainless Steel and tempered with heat to R/C 40 for maximum durability. Manufacturing tolerances are kept under a super tight 0.0005" (half a thousandth inch!) to ensure optimal accuracy!
To guarantee accuracy, we have gone the extra mile to ensure that each barrel's chamber is silky smooth and perfectly aligned with its bore. Testing has shown shot groups of ½" at 25 yards to be regular results in our barrels—so you know it will exceed your expectations! We carry out multiple quality checks throughout the production process to make sure every barrel lives up to the Wilson name—so when you see 'Wilson' on a barrel, you can be certain that it is unequivocally top-notch.

Forcing Cone Too Abrupt
All of my match pistols work superbly with H&G #68 bullets seated to a maximun OAL of 1.255 to 1.265 - with the exception of this barrel which doesn't allow the H&G #68 to feed if it is is longer than 1.242.

Para Ordnance
I bought this barrel for my para ordnance hoping it would only need little to fitting, to my surprise it only needed just a little material removed from the bottom lugs with my brownells barrel lug fitting kit.

Springfield Armory Inc. 1911A1 G I Model
I removed the Wilson Combat drop in barrel and bushing from my SA Mil-Spec model ,and tried it in my G I model at 7 yards with 230 hardball ammo . With SA G I Sights ,The Accuracy over the SA factory was unbelievable , punch one group hole at 11 Oclock from center man size target . I just wanted too know if buying another drop in barrel be worth the cost , even with the G I Sights . The Accuracy from Wilson Combat drop in barrel is worth every Penny . I found my Answer , Thank you Wilson Combat ....

Well Made With A Caveat
The bushing is NOT made to fit the barrel as it is a smaller diameter than the first inch and a quarter of the barrel and needs to be hand fit which I did, and it took me 3 1/2 hours to do by hand. Wouldn't you think

There is NO SUCH THING AS DROP IN! Please, do not kid yourself. The barrel improved accuracy, but every pistol and custom barrel is like a fingerprint--unique!

I Know Who To Recommend Now
Greetings. I just received a Wilson barrel from you, for a 45 acp AMT HARDBALLER. I am very impressed with the quality, and most of all, almost a perfect drop in fit. I only had to take a little off each side of the top hood, the bottom swing area needed a tiny bit, not much though. It fits so nice, it doesnt even need a finish chamber ream. My mouth almost dropped to the floor. It fits like a glove, I kid you not. Id just like to compliment your machine work, being I am a retired welder gladly from the UA Pipefitters Union, and a machinist for hobby. I do have a full machine shop for my toy room : Ive done a lot of air-smithing on match air pistols and rifles over the last 25 yrs, and some gun-smithing on firearms too. I tried a Baer barrel not too long ago, and after several hours of fitting it, I found that the factory chamber reaming was too deep by almost .100 , which was kind of frustrating if you can imagine. The Baer barrel took a lot more work for fitting too. Factory mistake, but it didnt impress me, for a match barrel. Anyways, just a token of appreciation for your quality machine work.

Shiny Barrel But.....
I have done more than several barrel swaps in the 1911 frame and used multiple different "Match grade barrel " manufacturers although the barrel was truly drop in the bushing was not , as to expected. Ultimately after fitting and assembling the firearm and testing movement and the other various things took the the fire range and I have to say I was less than impressed with the accuracy. I had better tighter groups with the factory barrel (Taurus PT 1911) the guy that I brought me the firearm gave me rave reviews for Wilson combat. Should have insisted on a Ed Brown barrel!
