Our Wilson Combat Bullet Proof® AR-15 Bolt Carrier Assembly is meticulously crafted using high-end Nakamura CNC machines and the most advanced materials available. As part of our "Bullet Proof®" service policy, if for some reason any components fail to meet your expectations, Wilson will repair or replace them free of charge - no questions asked! These bolts have been carefully machined from 9310 AQ aerospace quality tool steel bar stock and then hardened in line with Mil-Spec core hardness standards while boasting a case-hardened surface. These are certainly among the best bolt carrier assemblies you can find on today’s market!
The 9310 AQ is designed for maximum toughness and durability. It comes fitted with a 302 stainless helical one-piece gas ring to ensure optimal gas sealing, making it perfect for extended service life. For added assurance of non-slip extraction, the extractor itself is machined from 4140 bar stock that has undergone proper heat treatment and stress relief before being phosphate coated. Moreover, an extra power chrome silicon spring with inner buffer as well as "Crane" O-ring provide positive extraction while also guaranteeing long term useability. Meticulously machined from 8620 tool steel billet and heat-treated with exacting precision, the bolt carrier surpasses all military specifications.
The gas key, a crucial element for dependability and longevity, is manufactured from sturdy 4140 steel. It is then heat-treated and installed with both durable sealants capable of resisting high temperatures as well as 170,000PSI screws that have been firmly torqued to 55-58 inch pounds. Furthermore, the screws are securely staked in order to ensure your rifle remains malfunction free due to an unsecured gas key coming undone. Thanks to these advances in manufacturing techniques and materials used there have been tremendous improvements when it comes to the reliability, performance, and lifespan of this essential part of every rifle!
NOTE: The only difference between “semi-auto” and “full-auto” carriers are the carrier weight and external profile. The “full-auto” carrier is slightly heavier to provide more mass and lower cyclic rate that can benefit carbine length and shorter gas systems, short barreled/suppressed rifles and machine guns. The “semi-auto” carrier is slightly lighter to provide the least amount of recoil impulse for rifle length gas systems and it's design makes reinstalling the firing pin easier after cleaning.
It's backed forever so even if it's defected your covered had mine a while now and it's def game changing
I have several other Wilson BCGs and other manufacturers, and this is my current favorite. Zero failures even when very dirty. It cleans up easily—typical Wilson quality.
I’ve purchased various Wilson Combat items in the past, and they’ve always been not only functional but immaculate. Once I received this item, I disassembled it to wipe it down and inspect it. First thing that I noticed is several deep gouges/tooling marks on the carrier. Also, the nitriding on the carrier is not seemingly well applied. I can see through it in some spots where it appears to be light brown instead of black. I compared this to a ‘mid-tier’ nitrided carrier from another company and Wilson’s is much more poorly made.
Faster shipping now FedEx is the carrier (UPS was slow), usual Wilson quality! The finish is like the picture. Not as smooth as they polished NiB (which I also have from WC) but wanted to try another finish for a second upper. Glad I did
I bought this back in Nov/Dec and finally finished the AR-15 pistol build this goes into. I took her out to sight in the pistol and everything worked fine for the first 30 rounds. After that every attempt was an FTE. When I took her home I discovered the ejector was missing/broken. That is unacceptable performance. I have purchased numerous other parts from Wilson Combat for 1911s and Berettas and have never had an issue before.
I got this BCG for my AR pistol build( all wilson combat parts) but the slab BCG was very tight on the wilson combat upper receiver and not ejecting the cartrige.
