I had a iffy shot on a 115 pound pig that was running straight away from me. My shot was about 30 yards downhill. The only target I had was the rear of the pig. I hit her just above the tail and the bullet penetraited through the spine and exited just behind the rib cage underneath the pig. As I said, an iffy shot but I needed to stop the pig. One more shot after it drug itself out of the brush put it down. This was from a wilson combat 300 ham'r pistol. I think the bullet did it's job.
Update to my first review. Shot a doe with one of these 130gr bullets. 300Ham'r 16" barrel. Shot distance was 140 yds. Hit the large doe in the spine just above the shoulder, dropped on the spot. Bullet went completely through the spine and exited so I know it held together. Solid performance.
Using these in my 300 Ham'r but you could use them in other .30 cal options (.30-30 for example). Haven't used these on deer yet, but I have used other hot-cor bullets from Speer. I have never been disappointed with performance on game from Speer bullets. The price on these is incredible too.
This bullet performs on game ! Hogs , Deer , targets , it has not let me down yet !
