Wilson Combat

The Wilson Combat stainless Bullet Proof extractor for the 80 series .38 Super/9mm 1911 is the highest quality extractor available on the market today. Built with superior materials, this part has been designed to provide you with maximum reliability and performance.

Wilson Combat Bullet Proof ® extractors are crafted from premium alloy steel and then heat treated to ensure maximum durability. This allows them to maintain high tension for extended periods of time without any sign of chipping or breakage, making them the number one choice among professional gunsmiths. No other extractor on the market offers such superior quality and performance.

Our 1911 extractors make installation a breeze, as they only need minimal fitting for smooth and reliable operation. Even better, in some cases you can simply drop them into place without any final tightening needed! When used with our Wilson Combat firing pin stop, you will be able to get complete optimization of the extractor function on all types of 1911 pistols.

PH 13-8 Stainless Steel:

13-8 Mo stainless is typically used for valve parts, fittings, cold-headed and machined fasteners, shafts, landing gear parts, pins, aircraft components, nuclear reactor components and petrochemical applications requiring resistance to stress-corrosion cracking. Generally, this alloy should be considered where high strength, toughness, corrosion resistance, and resistance to stress cracking are required in a steel. Tensile strength of 215,000 PSI

Series 70 vs Series 80 1911 Extractors:

The difference between Series 70 and Series 80 extractors is a plunger retainer stud machined into the Series 80 extractor. This retainer stud holds the firing pin safety plunger that is visible next to the disconnector rail in place on Colt-style Series 80 slides. All extractors which are designed to work in a Series 80 1911 will also work in all Series 70 guns, however extractors designed for Series 70 guns lack the machined cut which allows the firing pin lock plunger to be installed and therefore can not be used in Series 80 guns. Kimber series II guns can use either a 70 series or 80 series. All Springfield Armory 1911 pistols are 70 series.

DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Resolved my failure to extract issues !

Posted by Mike B on Jul 24th 2023

From the factory, my Kimber Stainless Target II 9MM would not extract reliably after several hundred rounds of break in. It would fail to extract about 50 percent of the rounds fired (shooting Winchester White Box 115gr). I purchased this extractor and an oversized firing pin stop. I tried the factory Kimber extractor with the oversized firing pin stop and it did not fix the FTE problem. After installing the WC Bulletproof Extractor, I’ve shot about 300 rounds through the gun without malfunction. This part installed easily, fit snugly in my firing pin stop, and did not require tuning for my gun. I can actually enjoy shooting this gun now.. Thank you WC !

Fixed My Kimber Stainless Target Ii

Not much more to say. First time I had my Kimber 9mm on the range I experienced numerous FTF and FTE problems. The Rangemaster on duty took pity and did a field adjustment to the extractor that let me finish the box of bullets, and suggested I replace the OEM extractor with the Wilson Bullet Proof part.
