Additional Size Notes:
Most 1911 handguns on the market use one of three different diameters of firing pins
- .093" - Standard .45 ACP 1911
- .075" - Most Springfield Armory handguns
- .065" - Wilson Combat 1911's and many other brands also use a .38 Super/9mm pin due to the smaller diameter
- If the firing pin diameter needed is unknown, check the hole size in the recoil face or measure your pin diameter to determine the caliber firing pin needed for your slide before ordering
DISCLAIMER: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

May be slightly out of Spec
This firing pin was just one of many orders from WC, which I typically love their Quality and am a fan of the company. But it seems the FP I received is just a tad too short.. After I installed it, I took my 1911 to the range and was getting light strikes with no ignition.. something I hadn't encountered before with my factory FP. I'm sure Wilson Combat will make sure it gets right.. that said.. the WC FP looks Fabulous! Just like every other WC part I've bought to upgrade my 1911.

When you get right down to it, the heart of your 1911 is the firing pin. Without one, or with a broken one, all you have is a costly paperweight. Wilsons Bullet Proof firing pin is the only way to go. Dont try to cheapen out and buy one costing a couple bucks less. Get the real deal and relax knowing that youve got the best on your side, Wilson Combat.

Excellent Customer Service, Quality Part
i ordered this firing pin for my taurus pt1911. dropped in and fit like a glove. only prob was when it arrived it had a little rust as someone forgot to get some shipping grease before dropping it in the baggy. through trying to leave a reveiw stating such, wilsons EXCELLENT CS matched the name on the reveiw with my purchase info and sent a new pin free of charge without me even needing to contact them. wow. thanx WC, this has promted me to buy a complete cmdr style wilson pistol.

Firing Pin For Those Light Strike Pistols
My 1911 had a bit of a problem with light strikes on the primers, mostly due to aging springs I think. I installed this pin, and since putting it in, all my primers have a very nice, deep and consistent dents on the primer. For what these cost, I consider it money well spent for piece of mind knowing that my pistol will fire every time
