Wilson Combat

Wilson Combat SHOK-BUFF® for the Beretta 92 ensures that your firearm's frame is safeguarded against any possible battering while shooting due to its unique design.

Wilson Combat SHOK-BUFF® for the Beretta 92 is a unique design that protects your firearm's frame from any potential damage sustained when shooting. Enjoy worry-free shooting with this innovative and reliable solution! This innovative piece of technology features a 1/10" thick injection molded polymer buffer which is placed snugly between the frame and slide contact surfaces, guaranteeing optimal protection from recoil. If you are shooting high-velocity rounds through your Beretta 92-style pistol, the SHOK-BUFF® is a must. It provides additional protection by slowing down slide impact and decreasing felt recoil impulse and muzzle flip. This unique buffer is especially ideal when firing multiple rounds or using +P ammunition during practice sessions.

  • Prevents the slide from battering the frame during recoil and reduces the recoil impluse and muzzle flip
  • The SHOK-BUFF offers the optimum balance between shock absorption and longevity
  • Easily installed by simply sliding over the recoil spring of the assembled, factory guide rod and lining up with the slide’s front impact surface
  • Absorbs several thousand rounds of repeated firings-replace when swollen or torn
  • Injection molded for extreme durability-not die cut like others
  • Royal blue color bears the SHOK-BUFF name
  • Compatible with any full size and compact Beretta 92/96/M9/Taurus PT-92

    Good Product

Posted by Don C. on May 20th 2024

I use in a 92X, functions perfectly. While it's not stated that it works in Taurus 92/99, I do use one in a 99 as well. initially the slide would not lock back in the 99. I used a sharp, new industrial razor blade to trim off the raised portion of the buffer and it now works flawlessly. Those who had trouble in their B92s might give that a try.

    More Frame Life

Posted by Anonymous on Mar 12th 2023

After putting 500 rounds thru my 92fs I could see the impact wear on the aluminium frame at the location of the beginning of locking block in the slide.

A Definite Must Have For Any 92

Posted by John T on Nov 16th 2022

This is definitely a must have for any Beretta 92 owner. It noticeably softens the recoil and protects the frame from wear. My wrist used to hurt after 100 rounds. Now it feels like I only shot half as many rounds. The wear from the slide smacking against the frame has stopped. For 5 bucks, this is definitely a no brainer. I have one on each and every 92 pistol I own with plans to put one on any new 92 I purchase in the future.

Does Not Work With Any Beretta 92 Variant As Promised.

Attempted to use in Beretta 92S. The slide could not be locked back. I had several failures to eject and failures to load.

    Perfect Fit

Posted by Michael Bonomo on Jun 30th 2020

I've been using non-Wilson Shok Buffs on my Berettas until Wilson came out with theirs. Wilson's fit much better and are more durable. These are worth the extra cost.

    Gun Jammed

Put this into my M9 along with some other parts and the gun jammed every time it shot. Took this piece out and the gun functioned again.

Seems To Reduce Recoil And Barrel Wear On 92A1

Posted by Scott Timinski on Feb 27th 2019

Relatively new 96A1 that has about 250 rds through it. First time on the range noticed some strange barrel wear on the left side back of the sight which is visible when the slide is fully closed. Basically a mark in the finish of the barrel the about 1mm. Touched it up with PermaBlue. Took it out again and shot maybe 50. Same mark through the PermaBlue. Touched up again and installed this - four clips through it now no mark. Gun shoots very smooth with less jolt and seems a little more accurate. Does it make a difference dont know - maybe shooting the pistol better. Time with tell but for a few dollars this seems to make a difference and at least I dont have to constantly touch the pistol every time I shoot.

    It Works !!!

Posted by Robb on Oct 12th 2018

I have been reading mixed reviews on this product and some persons are not too sure that it works....Try this, without Shok Buff... bring empty gun to slide lock, youll hear a clank when the slide hits the frame at full open action. Now try with Shok Buff... that clank is now dampen by the Shok Buff... it slightly improves on muzzle flip as well....in my opinion, it works, and is by far worth the few dollars.
