For shooters who find it difficult to hit the standard-size slide stop, our blued .45 ACP semi-extended and fully machined Bullet Proof® slide stop is designed especially for them.

If you struggle to hit the traditional sized slide stop, then our blued .45 ACP semi-extended and fully machined Bullet Proof® slide stop is designed just for you! Crafted with precision machinery, this will be a game-changer in your shooting experience.  This extended lever design makes it easy to press during tense moments or when wearing gloves. It is just as wide as the original bullet proof model, meaning that this new version can be used in competitions and hard use tactical 1911 handguns. The built-in detent ensures an easier installation while the serrated top makes it easy to activate and disengage.  Additionally, its maximum tolerance body helps reduce wear and improves long-term reliability. Trust your firearm to this rugged slide stop and you will not be disappointed.

When it comes to high-performance handguns, Wilson Combat® Bullet Proof® parts are unrivaled in terms of quality, craftsmanship and cost. Each component is skillfully CNC machined from solid steel billet for a precise and perfect fit; castings or substandard imported injection molded parts will never use the Bullet Proof® name. Invest in Bullet Proof® parts with full assurance they are free of any defects or breakage - a guarantee that can't be beaten! We offer the strongest warranty and highest quality parts in the industry.

  • .45 ACP
  • Semi-Extended

NOTE: Wilson Combat 1911 small parts may require minor fitting and should only be installed by a qualified gunsmith. Although these parts are intended to be drop-in, due to the range of tolerances between various manufacturers' handguns, some fitting may occasionally be necessary. We highly recommend all fitting/installation of small parts is done by a professional gunsmith.

Great Addition to a Wilson Combat ACP

Posted by Chris Celio on Sep 25th 2025

Added this to my ACP and it dropped in perfect. I can reach the extended portion with minimal change to my grip. I think the cost is worth the quality. Definitely would recommend this for someone with smaller hands.

You need this to handle 45 Super rounds.

Posted by Robert on Feb 14th 2025

I set up my Kimber Classic Stainless LE with a 22# recoil spring, extra power firing pin return spring, 25# main spring, square bottom firing pin stop, Wilson Combat shok-buff and this Bullet Proof semi-extended slide stop, so that my pistol can handle firing the 45 Super rounds. The 45 Super is essentially a .45 ACP +P+ round with a beefed-up case. I couldn't be happier with the fit and quality of any Wilson Combat parts.

    Problem Solved

Posted by Phillip Tarrant on Sep 30th 2022

I purchased a Dan Wesson 1911 that always gave me problems with the slide locking back on empty mag. I tried many things to no avail. Saw in a forum that a couple guys with same gun had same problems and they said this piece was the remedy. They were right. I dropped it right in and it worked immediately with no more issues.

    Dropped Right Into Kimber.

Posted by Andrew Wallace on Jan 11th 2018

This one dropped right into a Kimber SS Target in 9mm. Unfortunately I didt see they had a stainless one but it doesnt look bad. I fit fine though. Ive used the 45 one for years and love it but they do tend to break over time. I hear the other brands have the same problem. This one isnt quite as long as the original and I hope it will take a little more abuse.

    Close To Perfect, But???

Posted by Jeff Davis on Feb 14th 2015

Out of ten different 1911s I have these installed it all but 3. dropped right in and will probably replace my last 3 with this same part because I am one of those that NEED an extended slide release. Only 1 problem, for twice the price they should be same length as the extended release which is NOT bullet proof. Its not much easier to reach than a stock release. Wish they were made bullet proof in the extended model to be fully functional as the ones I switched over from. Just cant give it 5 stars because of the shorter length.
