Controlled Chaos bullets offer the best of both worlds when it comes to ballistic performance. This bullet is optimal for use in .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 WSM, .30-06 Springfield, and .308 Winchester loads.
Please note that these are bullets (projectiles) only for reloading. This product is not loaded ammunition that is ready to use in a firearm.
There are two philosophies when it comes to bullets. One believes rapid expansion, moderate penetration, and weight loss are best, while the other believes that moderate expansion, deep penetration, and virtually no weight loss are best. Both have their virtues and applications, but why settle for one or the other when you can have both?
Controlled Chaos ® bullets offer the best of both. Once fluid is impacted, they shed the front portion of the bullet into multiple petals that radiate outward away from the bullets initial trajectory path resulting in a massive energy spike. The bore diameter base of the bullet continues and penetrates deeply in a straight line. Both the temporary and permanent wound cavity created by this bullet separation is dramatic resulting in quick incapacitation. The solid base creates additional tissue damage and often results in full penetration of the animal.
The Controlled Chaos ® bullet doesn’t expand or fragment when it impacts hard barriers like drywall, only when it impacts fluid, where it expands, fractures, and does its devastation.
No other bullet on the market offers the accuracy and repeatable terminal performance of the Controlled Chaos ®.
Controlled Chaos ® bullets are currently available in the following diameters: .204, .224, .243, .257, .264, .277, .284, .308, .311, .355, and .358.
Solid copper Controlled Chaos ® bullets meet the criteria of states and jurisdictions calling for lead-free projectiles.
Have not had time to work up any loads yet, but I do like all the bullets that I have purchased from you so far. I load for three of us and we like how these copper bullets work. I'll let you know how these work for me in my M14.
I did a couple of mild loads with the 152gr c.c.'s in my 308win with 20" barrel and 1 in 10" rate of twist to see if they had possibilities. my first 4 shot group was right at 1" and the 2nd group 3/4". the muzzle velocities were around 2700fps. I then moved on to a water jug test. these jugs are the style you set on a shelf with a pour spout on the bottom. I put 4 of them at 80yds and placed them side ways and one against the other. the first jug exploded and flew into the air, if any fragments stopped in the first jug they got lost in the grass. the 2nd jug had about 1 1/2" entry hole and at least a couple of holes/slots from 3 large fragments that come to a stop without exiting 2nd jug. this jug was also split just about in half with little stress holes throughout. the 3 fragments that stopped in the 2nd jug looked like 1/3 slices of the front part of the bullet that broke off at the first grove back from the front. they were not 100 percent of what broke off the front of the bullet. I believe there was more that got lost from the 1st jug. the back/main body of the bullet continued through jugs 3 and 4 with just simple holes in and out. I'm very pleased with them so far and will continue on to make hunting loads for whitetails this fall. I'm sure I will get better groups as I go also. I wish I could have posted pictures...you wouldn't have had to read the book.
I have used the Chaos bullet in 13 different calibers, from 204 Ruger through 450 Bushmaster. All with excellent results both for accuracy as well as effectiveness on game. Highly recommend them to others.
