would have been nice to know i needed the 13" gas tube with this barrel
This barrel is sub moa and the. 243 is a fun round to shoot. It makes for a really nice affordable deer or varmint AR-10. I would love to have a 24" 1in8 version to take advantage of some of the newer long range bullets on the market....it would be a perfect all around rifle. I have several Wilson Combat barrels and have found them to be accurate, reliable and affordable.
My first review I believed that the barrel was under gassed.
Received my barrel this morning. Shoots excellent.
Would rate the barrel 5*. Just got it on the range only to learn that WC's "Intermediate" 13.25" length gas tube is not the same as the standard mid-length. My fault for not catching this in their specs, but after researching, I'm not the only one caught off guard. WC - PLEASE CHARGE $20 AND INCLUDE ANY PROPRIETARY COMPONENTS. Of course, the 13.25" tube is out of stock.....ugggh!!
After break-in, I shot a 5 shot .75 moa group with 95 grain Federal Fusion. I love this barrel and couldn’t be happier!
This is the absolute best barrel I have ever purchased. Every bullet hole touches. Half inch group or less. Beautiful barrel! Cant say enough about the quality and workmanship of this barrel! 100% satisfied
