This is a standard extreme quality Wilson barrel the fourth , I’ve purchased and have had very little load development trouble. Shoots 165 GMXs into one hole doesn’t really like anything longer than that it seems like… I tried 180 grain E tips and I think the twist is just too fast. Do not hesitate to buy a Wilson combat AR style barrel. They are the only barrel I put on an AR platform.
Replaced my Areopercision barrel because of accuracy issues. Shoots everything I put in it sub MOA with my thermal. Ordered a couple more for my friends. With same results all happy pig killers.
This is my third WC barrel, 204 ruger and a 243. The accuracy of this barrel is exactly like the others. Four shots at 100yrds and you will have only two holes. One of the best parts about this barrel is the fact that it loves 150gr Remington Core Loks! I've shot 165gr to 180gr and it shot them all consistently and accurately.
I wanted a light barrel for a hunting ar10. (It's a DPMS pattern barrel) This one is easily sub MOA with a 5 shot group fired as fast as I could get a solid sight picture (no real cooling time) at 100 with an 8X scope and Ammo Inc 168 grain match/hunting ammo. They load a Hornady match bullet in this ammo. I highly recommend them.
Bought this for a blaster build. Rifle would short stroke with each shot, wound up taking the gas port from 0.0780” to 0.0820” (yes in .003” steps) for reliable function with my setup. Outstanding Wilson Combat quality! Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.
