This is a great barrel set it up with heavy buffer and adjustable gas block shoooot
After going through 4 different fax0n 308 barrels that wouldn't group at all, I switched to this barrel. (My fax0n ar15 platform barrels were all superb but I couldn't get large frame to shoot straight.) This is a very nice barrel, but I needed a couple things to make it run reliably: longer gas tube and drilled/opened gas port to 0.094". Paired with heavy spring and 5.6oz carbine shorty buffer, it now cycles flawlessly. I built the rifle for hunting, but I can't get better than 1.5-2moa groups with 165-168-175 factory ammo. HOWEVER, this barrel loves the 147 Norma Tactical and other 150 FMJ ammo (1moa 3-shot). I was nailing the 200-700yd plates with the Norma Tactical and PA ballistic drop scope. I'm going to try the 150 fusion and 150 SST ammo and hope they group as well as the FMJs. I wish they made this barrel in 1:10 twist to accommodate more bullet weights and came drilled with the larger gas port, but it's still a very good barrel!
