Caliber Notes: The 6.8 SPC (6.8x43mm) was initially developed by MSG Steve Holland and Chris Murray a United States Army Marksmanship Unit gunsmith to offer superior downrange lethality over the 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington in an AR pattern service rifle with minimal loss of magazine capacity and a negligible increase in recoil. The 6.8 SPC is also capable of outstanding accuracy and reliability. The 6.8 SPC will require a 6.8 caliber specific bolt and magazine for reliable function.

Bought this in March of 2024. It’s a tack driver with hand loads using 120 grain Hornady SSTs. Easily and consistently a 1 MOA barrel with that bullet. Looks sweet as well, with the bead blasted finish. Functions flawlessly. The cherry on top was I got mine on sale and, with a 10% off coupon, paid about $165 delivered! Killer deal!
Built into a Pistol suppressor host for deer hunting. 95 gr ttsx with AA2200 poppin out in the 2600's are tight medicine. Bang flop.
This has been mounted on my Hog gun for four or more years. Hornady 120 SSTs group MOA at 100yds. I've hit pigs consistently out to 300 + yds using this combo. I'm writing this review only because I was going to buy another barrel for new build. Easily my favorite hog caliber, in AR15 platform. Also excellent deer caliber, barrel length for deer. My wife's 160inch buck on the wall tells the story.
I put this barrel in an Aero upper, and it’s by far my most accurate shooting 6.8 SPC rifle. Excellent quality from Wilson Combat as usual.
Purchased several months ago. Paired with an ATI polymer upper, polymer lower, light weight bolt carrier, 4" carbon fiber stock, and adjustable gas block. Added a Pulsar Talion thermal. Shoots moa or better with 120 gr SST and 110 v-max. Shoots great and have killed numerous hogs. Love it.
Just purchased(12/30/20) the 11.3 inch 6.8 spc II barrel. Assembled it into a mil-spec upper, first 100 to 120 rounds fired perfectly. Shot some American Eagle 115gr fmj for accuracy and it grouped just under 2 inches 5 shots at 100 yards. Next I used some Remington match 115gr bthp and they grouped .840 also 5 shots at 100 yards. The temperature is just below freezing so hopefully these results will continue at higher temps. I am extremely happy with this barrel as I have been with every Wilson Combat product I've ever purchased.
