Wilson Combat

A Wilson Combat Bullet Proof square bottom firing pin stop for the .45 ACP caliber 1911 is the perfect addition.

A Wilson Combat square bottom firing pin stop for the .45 ACP caliber is the perfect addition to any handgun. This part is designed specifically for a 70 series handgun and is made from Bullet Proof bar stock steel, ensuring it will stand up to whatever you throw at it. Crafted from sturdy tool steel, this slightly oversized firing pin stop will reduce any excessive extractor motion. Its bottom is left untouched to help you adjust the slide's recoil according to your liking. To cater for heavier loads, a light bevel should be added on its face; or if shooting lighter loads then increase the degree of that same bevel.

When it comes to high-performance handguns, Wilson Combat® Bullet Proof® parts are unrivaled in terms of quality, craftsmanship and cost. Each component is skillfully CNC machined from solid steel billet for a precise and perfect fit; castings or substandard imported injection molded parts will never use the Bullet Proof® name. Invest in Bullet Proof® parts with full assurance they are free of any defects or breakage - a guarantee that can't be beaten! We offer the strongest warranty and highest quality parts in the industry.

    Citadel 1911 Heavy Loads

Posted by Anonymous on Mar 12th 2023

I bought this part along with a shock buff and 20# recoil spring to set up a 5" Citadel 1911 to shoot 255gr SWC loads. No fitting was required as part fit well, didn't modify it in anyway and was able to shoot all loads through the gun.

    No Fitting!

Posted by Ken Long on Feb 4th 2021

Based upon a recommendation by Hilton Yam, I purchased three of these. One for my Springfield TRP, and two for my wife and daughters Tisas 1911s. I was amazed that no fitting was required in any of the pistols! I have used another brand of flat bottom firing pin stop on many occasions, and all required extensive fitting. but not the Wilson bullet proof, The slide fit was snug but not too tight, they fit the extractors perfectly, and easily seated to allow the firing pins to snap into place. I am excited about using other Wilson bullet proof products!

    Wheelie Bar

Posted by Just Joe on Aug 30th 2020

Shaped bottom with a medium course stone to a .08 bull nose shape, polished with a fine stone, then flitzed to a mirror shine, used with a shok buff and 20 lb recoil spring in a 1911 that has a 30lb hammer spring. Ran 45acp hardball and 45 super like a champ. Felt recoil for Hardball was like the recoil of a full size 9mm and the 45 super was less than any of my 357 Sigs.

Perfect Cure For The Swartz Safety Blues

Posted by David Hanna on Apr 9th 2016

The Swartz safety found in Kimbers, can be a pain when removing the slide, hanging up on the gap provided by the series 80 FP stop. The WC flat bottom series 70 style FP stop cures that, filling that annoying void. I installed these in both my Pro Carry II and my Custom II. Other than making a slight radius on the bottom edge, these dropped right in, tight and square. If you own a Kimber, these are a true upgrade. Good job Wilson!

    Interesting Change In Recoil

Posted by Ryan Johnson on May 17th 2011

After installing one of these and filing a very slight radius on the bottom, Ive noticed that recoil is much more straight back, instead of back and to the side. It seems to make recoil more straightforward, although to be fair, going from condition 3 to condition 1 is a bit tougher.

    Tight Fit.

This FPS fits perfectly. I only needed to polish the one side and it slid in with light effort against the Wilson Extractor. Easyer to install than the competition and better quality.
