SLIDE STOP, 1911, EXTENDED, STAINLESS

Purchased one of these knowing it was MIM. Part looked perfectly fine out of the packaging no visible imperfections at all. Part was almost a drop in fit but the arch Wilson places on the paddle where the user actuates the lever made contact with the grip panel. As Wilson states on all there parts minor fitting might be required. Not an issue the issue is the part is not able to under go fitting. In order for this to clear the grips a user could slightly bend the paddle upward to eliminate the arch. However, when doing this even generally the paddle snapped clean off. The metal they are using is far to brittle for fitting and honestly probably won’t hold up well to the shock of the slide and barrel returning to battery over time. Disappointed as for a MIM part it appeared very nice the problem with this part isn’t really the craftsmanship but poor quality of the material used.

Easy install. Perfect fit and function. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I purchased this for my Sig STX as the original slide release was too short and required me to either break my grip with my dominant hand or use the thumb of my opposing hand during quick reloads. This extended release works great and is perfect for what I was looking for. Performance-wise I was severely disappointed as after every 1 to 2 shots fired the slide would automatically lock back. I inspected my grip placement and anything that may interfere with moving the lever into the locking position. After further investigation I noticed there was no real tension holding the lever down and the sheer force of the slide moving caused the lever to jump into the locking position on its own. I applied more lubricant to the retaining pin as well as the lever itself, which improved quite a bit, but I would still have the occasional slide lock back. If this does not rectify after a continued break in period I will have to go back to the original lever as a malfunction of this degree can be detrimental for efficacy and even deadly when needing to use in a firefight.

I got this slide release for my Springfield 1911. Dropped in no problem, tacked the slide a few times because who doesn’t? As I took it out the tip fell off.

Dropped right into my Ruger Commander. Finish looks to be almost a 100% match to the Ruger stainless.

Just received and installed this extended slide release on my Kimber SS Pro Carry 45 acp. Perfect fit and perfect functionally! Makes mag changes faster and more efficient. I took a few extra minutes to polish the piece and it looks great on the pistol. The appearance is secondary to function, but it cant hurt that it looks good at the same time.

Installed in a PT1911 without any work at all, locks open on every mag just like it should...very happy with this product. Will be installed on a custom Caspian build this summer and have two on other guns.

Part got here in reasonable time. Installed easily, in about 15 seconds. Received on Saturday, had competition shoot Sunday. Worked great. Didn't have to adjust my grip to release the slide.
