The Wilson Bulletproof Thumb Safety Was A Drop-In For My Ruger Sr1911
This beautiful part dropped in with no filing/fitting on my Ruger SR1911 and works flawlessly. It appears to have been lightly polished by Wilson, so no machining marks can be seen on the front side like the photo on the website. Some machining marks can be seen on the back. Overall, it is a wonderful addition to my 1911. I am slowly replacing many parts with Wilson Bulletproof versions.

A No Fit Thumb Safety
received my wilson tactical thumb safety in good time.it is a very nicely made safety.i removed the grip safety on a colt officers model to check for fit and to see how much metal would have to be removed.to my suprise the safety went right in, and not only that it actually fit.i mean just right, as if i had filed an polished it to fit.there was zero movement of the sear and it was square.i have never had that happen before as every thumb safety i have purchased had to be fit.i suppoose it was a fluke and i know i will be fitting them in the future but still it was nice to have a part that turned out to be drop in.thanks wilson.john a.

Great Safety!
Added this to my Kimber Pro Carry II today. Great addition! The safety lever is shorter and closer to the pistols reciever than the factory part. I feel lucky as this was also a drop in part. I was fully expecting to break out the Dremmel but it popped right in and worked flawlessly immediately. Also has a more solid engagement to the sear so you really feel it click into place. Also, like another buyer said, the simple fact that its a machined, heat-treated, solid bar cut piece assures me that my primary safety is always in top condition. Top notch. Amazed
Bought this cause I am using all Bulletproof parts in my build, have to say WC never ceases to amaze me. This piece is superior in fit and feel to all other pieces I have used in my builds. A slight amount of fitting, which is normal for a new safety, and bingo it was a match made in heaven. It gives you a very secure safety on and safety off feel. Love it and thanks again WC for the amazing craftsmanship!

Picture Doesnt Do It Justice
I dropped this part into my springfield loaded; it needed to be filed down where it meets the safety return spring. This part functions flawlessly, and the stainless finish shines brilliantly. The picture shown on the WC website makes it look a little grainy.

Superb Thumb Safety
Has plenty of meat on the sear engagement lug for a perfect fit. Be prepared to file and stone for a bit, when I say it has plenty of meat on it, youll be fitting for awhile. It took me about an hour to get a positive engagement. This has become my standard thumb safety on two guns.

Machined From Barstock
This without a doubt as fine a thumb safety as can be made.....Ed Brown and Les Baers parts are CAST, these are solid machined barstock...I want the strongest part for my primary safety.
